❤️ A FORTNIGHT OF FUN ❤️

🎈 We had a bit of a different week last week with it being half term, but we managed to squeeze in so much to our 3 days!
✨ We visited our favourite half-term spots, such as parks, the woods, library, and RSPB Leighton Moss where they had microscopes for us to look at bird feathers up close!
🎂 It was Mr Mimi's birthday over half term too, so the children baked him some chocolate cupcakes and sung him happy birthday!
🧑‍🍳We have 3 birthdays coming up in the next few weeks, so I feel as though we're going to have some expert bakers very soon
🫧 We even had a trip out to the car wash and the children giggled away as the sponges whizzed around and over us!

This week we've had a nice mix of playgroups, parks, crafts, dancing, stories, Yoto when the weather took a turn today! 🌧️

🎓 NEW CERTIFICATE THIS WEEK 🎓

🙌 My certificate for completing the EYPDP in December has arrived in the post this week 💌

✅ This 6-month course was designed by the DfE and Education Development Trust to up skill practitioners in areas of the Early Years National Curriculum

💫 The ideas and psychology behind learning have been invaluable and are being implemented each day at Mimi's!

🥳 It's great to be formally recognised for the time & effort that was put in 🫶

🤩We currently only have a Monday available, but there is the opportunity to also book into holiday club on Tuesdays/ Wednesdays during half-terms.

👦👧This place would best suit a 2+ year-old due to the ages of the other children and the fact it is only one day a week.

⛔ DON'T PANIC PARENTS - I love Childminding far too much to give it up and so I'll still be caring for your little ones Monday through Wednesday ⛔

🌈 JANUARY ROUND UP 🌈

(and a little bit of Feb...)

🤫 Controversial but I actually quite like January. When that winter sun is shining it's just.. 👌

This month we've spent an awful lot of time:
🌧️Jumping in puddles
🛝 Keeping cosy at playgroups
🧺 Eating Al fresco
🌳 Exploring wildlife and nature - we've loved seeing snowdrops starting to bloom!
🚶 Going on nature and listening walks
👫 Meeting up with friends
🐑 Visiting the farm and feeding the animals
🐦 Looking out for birds in our bird watch!

💪 We're all smashing our next steps too. Some examples of what our our minis are up to: learning 3d shape names, learning to stand, stringing 2 to 3 words together, and growing in confidence exploring independently.

👏 Well done superstars!

❤️ DAY 1 BACK TO IT ❤️

👶 Our new starter has been an absolute joy and the children have been ever so kind bringing him toys and helping him join in 🥰 we've had plenty of lovely cuddles too 🤩

✨ We loved going to a new playgroup this morning and a dry wintery walk down to the park this afternoon!

🦢 We saw swans, rolled in sand, and spotted plenty of wildlife ready for our RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch this month

I'm absolutely goosed after today, hope they all sleep well for you 🤣🤞
