Language learning is about so much more than vocabulary and grammar - it’s about understanding people, traditions, history, and ways of life. 🌍💚
🏴Recently, I took the children to St Fagans National Museum of History to learn about the old ways of living in Wales. Exploring traditional homes, buildings, and stories from Welsh history helped bring culture to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
Experiences like these remind us that culture enriches language learning and helps children develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. 📚✨
At Ciao Bambini, I love encouraging children to connect language with real-life culture, history, and traditions - because that’s where learning truly comes alive.✨

Why I Love the Charlotte Mason Approach to Language Learning 🌿
📖 Language learning feels natural and enjoyable
🎶 Children learn through stories, songs, art and conversation
💬 The focus is on meaningful communication, not just memorisation
🌱 It removes the pressure often associated with language learning
✨ Children grow in confidence while developing a genuine love for languages
After teaching in mainstream schools, I wanted language learning to feel more alive and engaging - both for my students and for my own trilingual children at home. 🤍

🇪🇸Language learning should be about more than grammar exercises and memorising words.
💃A language is alive - filled with art, culture, music, stories, and human connection.
That’s why I believe children learn best when Spanish is taught through culture as well as language skills. ❤️🌍
🎨 From artists like Picasso to everyday Spanish traditions, learning becomes meaningful, memorable, and inspiring.
🇪🇸 Small group Spanish lessons for primary-aged children start this September.
✨ Friendly, inspiring, relationship-based learning
📚 Suitable for beginners
🇪🇸Places are intentionally limited so that every child is known, encouraged, and given individual attention - not lost in large classes.

A few years ago, I had the honour of delivering a Welsh language workshop 🏴✨ to teaching colleagues in Beijing 🇨🇳.
I was genuinely impressed by how quickly they picked up the sounds 🔊 and pronunciation of this beautiful language - especially one that was completely new to them.
In the session, I demonstrated my approach to language teaching 📚 in a practical, hands-on way, bringing Welsh to life!
It was a reminder of how powerful playful, meaningful learning 🎯 can be when teaching languages.
If you’d love your child to experience languages in this kind of engaging, living way 🌿💬, my online Welsh and Spanish lessons for children begin this September 📅
✨ Limited spaces available — message me 💌 or email to find out more: [email protected]
