Well Year 6 - that was quite a party to mark the end of your primary school years! A wonderful atmosphere - thanks to those who organised. Wonderwall seems to have become your song! ๐ซถ
Well done for your brilliant Leavers' Assembly - the memories you shared, the poems, the photographs, the songs - it all felt special. Thank you to parents/grandparents for attending, and for making the end of the day special too.
It has been a pleasure seeing the children grow during their seven years with us. We wish you all well for the time that follows. Best wishes, Year 6! ๐
Belle Vue Primary School - Carlisle
Primary School in the West of Carlisle - proud to be at the heart of the Community we serve!
"A rich, supportive learning environment where aspirations are raised."
The finals of 'Belle Vue's got Talent' were a huge success - well done to everyone who took part! Congratulations to Finley, Zac, Sarah and Kaiden for their winning acts. Finley solved 6 cubes in under 2 minutes 30 seconds, and Zac, Sarah and Kaiden solved Countdown style maths problems. Our resident band entertained the audience whilst the judges did their thing... ๐

Our Year 3's had a lovely walk around Belle Vue on Tuesday, learning little bits about the history of our local area, and considering our four House Team names. We enjoyed lunch together in Cara's Park too - somewhere special. ๐ซถ

Due to the ongoing hot weather, pupils are very welcome to wear their PE Kits in school this week. As per previous messages sent, do remember caps/hats, water bottles, and do apply sun cream. Thanks for your help! ๐
If your child would like to show their support for the England Football Team prior to their semi-final on Wednesday, they are very welcome to wear red/white on the day! โฝ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
Lots going on in school this week, including the finals of Belle Vue's Got Talent. ๐Thanks to Mr. Meaton and Mrs. Cannon for organising this. Our Reception children have their visit to the Fire Station too. Let's make this a special last week for the children! ๐

Fantastic end to our Sports and Health Week, with our KS2 Sports Day this morning. The children have enjoyed such a wide range of activities with too many to list here! (Rock climbing, Irish dancing, coaching from two ex professional footballers, yoga, basketball, Border Warrior training... the list would go on and on.)
A massive 'thank you' to everyone who has helped to make the week a huge success, and to Mrs. Devlin for organising! ๐
Most importantly, a huge well done to our children, who have made the most of every opportunity, and who have been competitive and compassionate in equal measure. ๐
Have a great weekend, everyone! ๐

Sometimes learning just feels special.
The culmination of almost a year's work, today our Year 6 pupils launched their historical trail from Belle Vue to Tullie. They 'took over' Tullie for the day, and welcomed guests as they shared their curated exhibition.
The children have worked in six teams, researching Belle Vue, Newtown, Engine Lonning, the Infirmary, Carr's Biscuit Factory and Luguvalium. What they have created is unique, and will hopefully be enjoyed by many for years to come. They have explored their locality, interviewed local experts, and shared their learning in an accessible way which can be enjoyed by all.
This summer holiday, why not walk the trail, guided by our unique map, and use the website to share in the children's learning about our local area. Solve the clues along the way, and we think you will learn something new.
A huge 'thank you' to our amazing Year 6 team for running with this project this year. ๐
None of this would have happened without the guidance, expertise, and energy of the brilliant staff at Tullie. Thank you for 'adopting us' this academic year - the first school to work closely with you in this way. We have loved every minute. Thank you to Liana, Sarah and Anna (and the rest of the team) for making this a reality for our children.
