David Pert Piano Cardiff

id went on to further his studies at the RWCMD the national conservatoire of Wales in Cardiff. Whilst there he studied under several distinguished members of staff and was an active performer taking part in numerous competitions and engaging in regular chamber music activities. Following his undergraduate studies David continued his studies with an emphasis on education, and studied for 3 years at the University of Reading on their unique Instrumental Teaching in Private Practice course. During this time he maintained his own piano studies with participation in workshops, summerschools and master-classes. Since completing his postgraduate studies David continues to actively participate as a pianist, accompanying regularly for exams, festivals, competitions and choirs, as well as preparing solo items for master-classes, the most recent of which was with distinguished Russian pianist Andrei Gavrilov. David is passionate about education and leads up the European Piano Teachers Association for Cardiff and area, arranging numerous study days and professional development opportunities for local teachers as well as organising and running the annual first round of the EPTA's national piano competition. David is always keen to hear from eager prospective students. He teaches during the day and evening, Mon-Fri.
