📚 What if every child could see themselves in the stories they read?

Meet Sam Langley-Swain, our newest Romodel and an inclusive book publisher working to make sure books in classrooms, libraries and homes reflect the diversity of the world around us.

Sam is helping to make publishing more inclusive so that every child feels represented in stories — because when learners see characters who look like them, sound like them or share their experiences, it helps them believe their own story matters too.

At Romodels, we’re proud to share Sam’s journey with learners and explore the role of an inclusive book publisher through real-world missions.

📚 Happy World Book Day!

This morning’s breakfast conversation with my daughter reminded me exactly why I started Romodels 💚

Over toast and cereal, I told her I was heading to an event to meet over 50 women working in tech — to find even more real Romodels to share with children. She was really excited and asked if I could take a photo to show her when I got home.

After exams, the environment is one of the biggest worries children talk about.

On World Environmental Education Day, we wanted to say a huge thank you to our incredible Romodels — real changemakers showing children that they can be part of the solutions and help shape a better future. To

It only takes one Romodel for a child to think, ‘that could be me'.

Working alongside the wonderful team at Cwmclydach Primary School, learners explored musical theatre through Levi’s journey, using his story as a springboard for creativity, confidence, and belief.

Through Levi’s missions, musical theatre became more than something you watch on a stage.......It became something learners could perform, create for, and see themselves in.

Together, we supported learners to:

Design merch for Levi’s next concerts, sharing bold ideas and creative designs.

Explore songwriting and performance, beginning to imagine futures shaped by creativity.

Create headshots and reflect on the qualities they already have as performers — confidence, creativity, communication, and courage

By embedding Romodels across the school year, the team at Cwmclydach are helping learners connect classroom creativity to real-world possibilities — and believe that their ideas, and their futures, matter.

That’s the power of Romodels partnerships: when schools and real stories come together, learning starts to be even more powerful.

Meet Maire! She's a Space Weather Forecaster who studies powerful events from the Sun — like solar storms and giant explosions 🌞💥

These can affect satellites, phone signals, and even the electricity we use every day 📡⚡

Now, Maire uses her science skills to teach and inspire the next generation of scientists at university 👩‍🔬✨

Every milestone brings us closer to a future where every child can see what’s possible for their future careers.
