Meet our Ariel, Meryl, who can’t wait to become a part of your world this July in Dinas Powys Parish Hall!

Her fondest memory in PODyS was when she played Pumba from ‘The Lion King’ as she loves a comedy role. Her favourite song to sing from the show is ‘Part of Your World’ and she can’t wait to perform alongside her friends and sister in this magical musical!

🚢✨ PODS Spring Musical 2027 Announcement! ✨🚢

After the massive success of We Will Rock You this year, we're delighted to reveal that our Spring 2027 production will be Cole Porter's timeless musical comedy Anything Goes, directed by Sally Mathias.

Get ready for a glorious dose of Golden Age musical theatre escapism as we set sail aboard one of Broadway's most beloved shows. Packed with wit, romance, spectacular dance numbers and unforgettable music, Anything Goes features iconic Cole Porter classics including It's De-Lovely, Friendship, Blow Gabriel Blow, and All Through the Night.

And yes – it's time to dust off those tap shoes for some truly show-stopping routines!

🏆 PODS are Wales Final Champions! 🏆

Last night in Colwyn Bay, PODS won the Wales Final of the One-Act Play Festival with our production of Robert Scott's comedy All By Myself.

Having won the Best Overall Production Award at the Glamorgan Drama League stage of the festival in April, we progressed to the Wales Final, where we competed against five outstanding community theatre groups from across the country. The prize was the unique opportunity to represent Wales at the British Final next month, and we are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have earned that privilege.

PODS will now go on to compete against the winners from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the British Final, proudly flying the flag for Wales.

A huge congratulations to all the amazing Welsh companies who reached the Wales Final. It was a pleasure to share the stage with such talented performers and creative teams, and we thank you for making it such a memorable weekend of theatre.

For anyone interersted in getting involved with future PODS productions, we're unveiling plans and holding a script reading of the stage adaptation of the hilarious comedy Hi-De-Hi on Monday 8th June, 7.30pm at Penarth Conservative Club. Audition information to follow - watch this space.
