In recent years the Unit has had a particular focus on the links between poverty in all its forms and educational under achievement. We seek to understand the causes of poverty and, from our own experience, believe that good quality education is a vital tool in the battle against cyclical poverty.

We are pleased to announce we are hosting an Employment Workshop this coming Monday at Valleys Kids - Penyrenglyn Project.
The workshop is run in partnership with our good friends at People and Work and Generation Rhondda.
If you are looking to make some positive New Year lifestyle changes and follow your dreams in 2025 then this is for you. 💪
If you are looking to better your current situation. Putting pen to paper and listing all the good things you have done and can do in a CV format is one of the first steps forward.
We’ll also look at goal mapping, vision boards and self confidence techniques.
