What will meaningful skills development look like in your curriculum from 2027?
With the Agored Cymru Skills Suite now approved by Qualifications Wales, schools can start planning how Skills for Life and Skills for Work could support their 14–16 learners.
Designed to help young people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they'll need for life, learning and employment, the Skills Suite offers flexible pathways that can be adapted to your curriculum.
Now’s the time to start thinking about how it could fit into your 14–16 offer, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Want to explore how the Skills Suite could work in your curriculum?

June 17th is National Thank a Teacher Day! 🥳
Education is changing all the time, but one thing remains the same: the difference a great teacher can make.
Whether it’s helping a learner find their confidence, supporting them through challenges, or celebrating those “I get it!” moments, your impact lasts far beyond the classroom. 💡
Many of us at Agored Cymru have been teachers ourselves, so we really understand the care, commitment, and energy that goes into the role every day.
Today, we wanted to give a well-deserved shout-out to all the teachers out there making a difference.
Thank you for everything you do! 🌟
And because every teacher has at least one memorable classroom moment... what's the funniest thing a learner has ever said or done? Share your stories in the comments below! 👇😄

Why are we attending the National Education Show this Friday?
Because education in Wales is changing, and we want to help schools, colleges and training providers navigate what's next.
From Curriculum for Wales and the new National 14–16 Qualifications, to evolving skills, wellbeing and progression pathways, there’s a lot happening across the sector. We know many providers are thinking about what these changes mean in practice and how they can best support their learners.
That's why our team will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, share insights and talk through the opportunities available.
We'll be showcasing:
📚 Our new Wave 3 National 14–16 Qualifications for Wales
💷 Our recently launched Banking and Finance qualifications
❤️ Our Health and Wellbeing qualifications for schools, delivered in partnership with Achieve More Training
Whether you're already working with Agored Cymru or simply want to learn more about the changes ahead, we'd love to chat.
Not able to make it but still have a question? Drop us a message via this form, and our team will be in touch! https://share-eu1.hsforms.com/1DybpfnpfSROnTvpHN2Y3WA2e4j8w

Some moments from last week’s Skills Academy Wales Conference!
Our Business Development team had a fantastic day exhibiting in Swansea, speaking with attendees about apprenticeships, hearing from the informative keynote speakers, and ending the day with a fantastic awards presentation.
It’s always a pleasure catching up with familiar faces and making new connections, so a big thank you to the Skills Academy Wales team for having us!
