I've had a few enquiries regarding the Kent Test recently-

🔅 Firstly practice tests are available on The ATOM Learning site , this was recommended to me by a local secondary school attached to a grammar.

🔅Secondly, if your child has recently sat the CAT4 assessments this is based on their natural cognitive abilities and isn't based on the curriculum.

🔅Lastly, Grammar's are looking for the top 25% of students, however there is no reason why your child will not and cannot thrive in a non- selective school.

It is of course a personal decision between you and your child but from personal experience I still managed to gain a great education without a grammar school and am a proponent of of life long learning.

Best of luck to everyone ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Having just rewatched Adolescence, having worked in schools for now 5 years, and as a parent who own son was exposed to something he shouldn't in Year 5 in the playground causing a Safeguarding concern. ... I completely and utterly support the Online Bill ammendments and the ban of social media to under 16's.

Things parents can do.

⭐️ Use Family link on Android phones ( or the equivalent on Apple) , this allows you to check websites and app ads to their phones.

⭐️Disable all chat on online gaming , use WhatsApp on speaker with supervision.

⭐️Talk to your child openly that the online world is potentially dangerous.

⭐️Be careful when watching news or TV yourself - little ears hear a lot.

⭐️If your child has a phone check it often. Put limits on it and ALL devices.

⭐️ Do not let them use social media.

⭐️ Make sure your own accounts are private.

**Edited Online harm is ONE of the biggest challenges to young people at the moment.😔

There are multiple reports in the media of children taking part in online trends including shoplifting, attacking people, school wars etc. This tells us everything. And ive seen it on the ground.
