Couldn’t put this book down - I love happy endings & this book provided lots.

The stories showed people changing their lives enabling them to not only heal their ailments but also to live a life that was more fulfilling & ‘right’ for them.

The world is full of possibilities... rather than setting a goal, set your focus for the year - for example - to grow, to be kind to others, to build, to research, to explore...what feels right for you right now?

And then take action. Have fun!

This year may not have been all we wished for in 2019. However I expect that you achieved far more than you could have imagined, learned far more about yourself and others and had an enormous impact on the people around you.

Take some time to celebrate all that you have achieved and all that is good in your life - hold on to what is precious, let go of anything that no longer serves you and step forward with optimism and determination to make 2021 a great year.

To end the year on a high visit our Christmas newsletter - link in the bio It includes a selection of gifts to give you hope, make you laugh, manage your career, reflect and plan and inspire you into action - please enjoy them, share them and have a Christmas full of hope and anticipation for a better future.

What are you going to discover?

Curiosity is a great emotion for moving forward - find something you are interested in, go on voyage of discovery and notice how you feel.

Reflect on 'yesterday' to identify what is lost that is important and what could have been done differently. And use these insights together with the power in emotions to create a 'tomorrow' that's even better.

Let's not waste our energy hurting each other and destroying all that is good, let's use it for building a better tomorrow.

Belief is one of the most powerful ingredients for success. Without it we can stop ourselves from even dreaming about doing something, or becoming the person we want to be.

When we let go of our fears of being judged, criticised, not being good enough, failing etc we can focus all our energy on moving forward increasing the likelihood of success.

This year so much has been disrupted, people's habits have been shifted and the doors have opened wide for new opportunities.

The question is what do you dare to dream about and what will you do to achieve your dream?

Anxiety can be paralysing - it can stop us from being able to think, or function, properly and the more we ruminate, the more anxious we feel, and the harder it is to do anything.

Pick up a glass of water and hold it out in front of you - how heavy does it feel?

Keep holding it for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes etc and notice how heavy it feels at each point. The glass is no heavier yet it 'feels' heavier the longer you hold it.

It is the same for those anxiety-inducing thoughts - the longer we think, the more anxious we feel, and the more paralysed we become especially if this response is your typical response.

Taking action, even a small action, breaks the spell. It takes you to a different place, with a different perspective and most importantly it gives you the message that you are in control and you are not powerless.

Next time you feel anxious:

- Reflect on what you need
- Decide on what small step you are able to take
- Ask for support from those around you to move forward and
- Take ACTION

This week my aim is to spread some positivity so that we end the year well with a positive mindset for moving forward into 2021.

In times of uncertainty and disruption, knowing what to do and which way to turn is hard. Be guided by what is important to you, and your core purpose and values, and take actions that are aligned with them.

Action moves you to a different place with a new perspective and options - you don't need to know all the steps. Take one step at a time, check in with how you feel and reset your direction as you go.

Today is a new day and there is so much to be grateful for but it is easy not to notice all the good things when we are fixated on all the things that are going wrong or we aren't happy about.

Our brains are primed for survival, leading us to focus on potential threats, which in today's terms is anything that isn't the way we want it to be. Whilst this can be useful, it stops us enjoying all the great stuff - all the wonderful people in our lives and the many resources we have.

We need to train our brains to spot positives too, and look for the good in everyday. And the more you look for the positives the more there will be; and if you practise this regularly it will improve your whole mindset helping you be more:

- optimistic
- open to new opportunities and
- able to create an emotional climate in which others can thrive

BE positive and you will FEEL positive.

One of the best ways to lift your own mood is to take positive action, and if that positive action involves being kind, generous or positive to others even better.

Leaders have an enormous impact on the emotional climate of their environment and having the right emotional climate will enhance well-being, productivity and performance as well as making it a nicer place to be and work.

Let's spread some positive emotions and lift the mood for everyone.

Appreciation is under-rated in terms of an energy booster for both the giver and the receiver.

Without it you can feel under-valued, uncertain about whether what you are doing is hitting the mark, and worth all that effort, and you can begin to disengage.

Contrast this to how it feels when you receive a show of appreciation - you feel valued & loved, assured that your efforts are well-placed, engaged, and you are more likely to exceed expectations in future.

Appreciation doesn't have to cost lots, in fact the more personal and authentic it is, the better. And the best bit is that the 'giver' feels more pleasant emotions when they show their gratitude as it helps them focus on positive things and connect with others.

Who do you value? How can you show your appreciation? When will you do it?

Share who you value and your ideas of how to show you care and inspire others.
