At Elham, we believe that every child is a unique gift from God, with their own potential to flourish and grow. We help our children become life-long learners.

Our core values of empathy, community, faith and achievement guide all that we do.

Last week, EYFS and KS1 teamed up to create some fabulous bug hotels. The children worked in pairs and demonstrated exceptional creativity. The hotels are now hidden in the plants and leaves awaiting check-ins!
This linked both to the EYFS framework and the National Curriculum areas for study.

Last week, Potter class got all horticultural. Here they are planting their potato in a bucket for the Elham Gardening Society competition, and a series of sunflowers.

It's the end of this year's SATs and with it, the end of this year's SATs Breakfast Cafe at Elham Church of England Primary School. We are incredibly proud of all of the children at our school, but a special shout-out must go to Year 6 this week. Their positivity, effort and commitment made SATs feel like just any other week. Best of luck to them all.

A special thank you also to Mrs Hall, who was head chef in addition to Year 6 teacher.

Today, in science, EYFS and KS1 were delighted by the developments in their wormeries.

This topic began last week, with the children working scientifically to make predictions of what the worms would do to the mini-habitats, before they observed the changes today.

What a brilliant start to Term 5! Last week, Farah Class spent a fantastic morning at Forest School, enjoying activities such as den building, bug hunting, making mud kitchen creations, and relaxing in the hammock.

In the afternoon, Peake Class took part in their own session, learning how to use a saw, exploring the mud kitchen, climbing trees, and, of course, unwinding in the hammock.

Today, it is the turn of Potter and Nightingale classes—updates to follow!

What an amazing experience! On Saturday, 25 of our children took part in this year’s TCS Mini Marathon, completing the challenge of running, walking, or jogging a mile while raising money for our school. It was a fantastic achievement, and no doubt a special memory for them all.
So far, an impressive £2,035 has been raised—just short of our £2,500 target. If you’re able to help us reach our goal, please use the link below:

This morning was our Rock's Cool concert. All of our musicians did a fantastic job, entertaining and wowing us with their pop songs.

A massive well done to all of the children and a huge thank you to music teacher Phil, and all of our families who came along to support the children.

Rocktastic!

En garde! Watch out parents, Peake class are returning from the residential with new sword skills. Be careful when asking them to do the washing up!
