🧬🧪🔬 We had such a wonderful time at the Cambridge Festival event at Cambridge Academy for Science & Technology on Saturday.

Alongside an amazing gathering of 100s of scientists and science communicators, we brought an opportunity to:
- play with fossils
- make brain hats
- get messy with different experiments
- see the unseen through microscopes
- and explore the blood, organs and neurons in our bodies
.. what more could you want? 😍

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, and to all the children, teens and adults who came through and visited our tables. You all brought such enthusiasm and curiosity - it was an absolute pleasure to be inside with you on a sunny Saturday in !

We loved hosting a group of wonderful students from King Edward VI High School for Girls as part of their visit to earlier this month.

After the students visited , and before they visited Great St Mary's, The University Church, Cambridge, we had great fun exploring how and might both form part of a rich tapestry of ways of knowing people can draw on, and bring together, as they approach big, interdisciplinary questions.

Thank you for travelling to Cambridge, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

🔭Do and questions from young people excite you, leave you nervous, or maybe a bit or both?

🧬In an increasingly scientific and technological age, young people are exposed to many big, scientific ideas and advances and, for many, this will lead to questions about how science and technology interact with religious faith.

We hope to support youth workers who are keen to go on these science-faith discussion journeys with their young people, so we are delighted to announce training workshops on this topic, specifically tailored for youth workers working in Christian contexts.

The course consists of three sessions and will be run twice, with one cohort having sessions online on Mondays, and the other having sessions in-person, at Romsey Mill in Cambridge, on Fridays.

👥Dates for cohort A (in-person):
Friday 24th April 9am-12pm (in person),
Friday 1st May 9am-12pm (in person),
Friday 22nd May 10am-11.30am (online)

💻Dates for cohort B (online):
Monday 11th May 9am-12pm (online),
Monday 18th May 9am-12pm (online),
Monday 22nd June 10am-11.30am (online)

The cost is £30 but, if this will be problematic, please get in touch with us. We never want money to be the reason someone rules themselves out from attending.

If this feels like a topic you would like to invest time into, to support positive conversations with the young people you work with, we'd love to hear from you, and see you there!
