🔬 🇵🇱 Polonium Foundation is inviting you to Science: Polish Perspectives (SPP) Cambridge 2025, taking place on 15th September 2025 at Corpus Christi College of the University of Cambridge. This meeting continues the acclaimed SPP series, launched in 2012 at the University of Oxford and conducted at leading research and innovation institutions worldwide for over a decade.

SPP Cambridge 2025, titled “From Discovery to Disruption: Polish Innovation in the UK”, will focus on showcasing how Polish science, business, and innovation can develop and grow in the UK. By approaching the topic from the perspective of both research and entrepreneurship, we aim to provide you with lively discussions, interesting networking opportunities, and a fresh outlook on Polish innovation in the UK. Approximately 100 participants are expected, including Polish researchers and professors based in the UK, early-career scientists, startup founders, investors, policy makers, and experts from the fields of medicine, technology, and innovation.

Polonium Foundation invites early-stage scientists and innovators to submit abstracts for one of two routes:

🔬 Science and academia
💡 Commercialisation and start-ups

🗓️ Deadline for abstract submission is 10th August 2025

Authors of selected abstracts will be invited to present their pitches in front of a jury of experts and a live audience during the event.

The selected abstract presenters will be eligible for reimbursement of their travel expenses.

To submit an abstract, please use this link https://form.typeform.com/to/pi1YUABo

WHAT?: PolSoc summer trip
WHEN?: ⭐ You decide ⭐

https://forms.gle/B1jbP4mjMa71TAxh8

Fill out our survey about plans for the summer PolSoc trip!
In previous years, it was usually a few-day trip to the Beskids at the end of the holidays, but if you're up for it, we can do something different this time (e.g. cycling or sailing), or even do two separate trips if there's enough interest!

The survey is non-binding and is meant to get a sense of your availability so that we can pick the best possible date.

All PolSoc members are very welcome – feel free to invite alumni friends and – even better – Poles from Cam who haven’t been to PolSoc before!
