Crowds enjoy the Jazz band in the Grand Arcade

Jazz band are now performing in the Grand Arcade!

And the music is off. One gentleman has kindly said that the music "made his shopping experience ".

A busy fortnight in the Music Department with a Remembrance Service, Remembrance Concert at Emmanuel URC, the House Harmony competition, performances at John Lewis/Grand Arcade and then the concert in St John's, Smith Square London this coming Friday. On a couple of occasions this week, we also look forward to welcoming the new Director of Music, Mr Michael Holiday - who joins in January 2015 - as part of the handover process.

What's On | St John's Smith Square

Today (Saturday) there will be a string quartet and soloists in John Lewis between 1.30-2 and the senior jazz band will then be performing in the grand arcade from 3-3.30 and 4-4.30. Please share this post and join us if you can.

Well done to all those who took part in the National Finals of Pro Corda Chamber Festival at Birmingham Conservatoire today. You all gave a really outstanding performance!
