Last week, we were delighted to welcome Esther and Sarah Teichmann to Murray Edwards College, for the Conversation Between Sisters event organised by the Women’s Art Collection, in collaboration with the Bell Burnell Society and FemSoc.
We were amazed by their collaborative project Constellations, which combined Sarah’s inspiring and revolutionary work with the Human Cell Atlas, and Esther’s artistic vision.
We are looking forward to collaborate further with College in order to help organise more exciting events!

‼️New Committee Elections‼️

It is Easter term and time to finish up this year’s work and hand over! The Franklin Society needs to elect a new President, Treasurer and Secretary; these are very relaxed low commitment roles, where you're free to do as much or as little as you'd like. The perk is that you can choose which speakers you'd like to invite based on what you're interested in. If you would like to be considered for a committee position please can you send your manifesto to [email protected] or to [email protected] by the 20th. Looking forward to another great year of Franklin Soc ahead!

✍️The Franklin Society Essay competition is open again for 2022! 📚

The Franklin Society is the science society of Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University, and every year we run a science-based essay competition. The competition is open to any Sixth form student (or equivalent), from any country, of any gender. 1st - £50
2nd- £30
3rd -£20

Entry to the competition would also look great on university application forms and the top three winners' essays will be published on our page!
