Such a wonderful dough station by CFH Childcare - Childminding by Chloe - lots to explore and create with! πŸƒπŸ’›

May playdough station has landed πŸ›πŸ¦‹

This set up is all about minibeasts, colour, texture and lots of lovely little hands getting busy.

The children can roll, squash, press, stamp, cut, build, notice and explore in their own way, with books, loose parts, mirrors, tools and natural resources all there to support curiosity and language.

This links beautifully with our May Curriculum from The Early Years Edit, where we’re exploring minibeasts, flowers and the natural world through simple, revisitable invitations to play.

No pressure. No overcomplicated set ups. Just calm, purposeful provision that children can return to, adapt and make their own.

And of course, it wouldn't be complete without our trusty Yellow Door Education resources.

Early Years Farm Footprint Activity – Sensory Dough Play for Preschoolers πŸ„πŸ‘πŸ–

There are always plenty of animals to spot down on the farm, but sometimes little ones need to follow the footprints to find them! Using play dough and the farm footprints, children can press, stamp and explore different animal tracks while building fine motor skills, curiosity and early investigation skills. Perfect for early years sensory play and farm topic activities. 🌾

🐞🌿 Bug hunting in the woods!

We took Who’s Hiding? Garden Bugs from out to our woods today, where it fitted perfectly alongside our real‑life bug hunting activity.

The children loved searching, matching, and talking about the different bugs they could find, making wonderful links between the resources and the natural world around them.

A brilliant way to support curiosity, language, and observation skills through hands‑on exploration πŸƒ
