Any of our young Performers interested?

We are looking for two young performers to join Simply Theatre’s production of Kinky Boots (25th-27th April 2024 in Woking at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre!) 👠

The two parts are the young versions of our two leading men! They appear in one number and both have a little singing and speaking. This a super opportunity to get involved with a fantastic adult theatre company in Simply Theatre 🎭

A small number of rehearsals will be needed to learn music blocking and choreography 💃🏻

Young Charlie
Playing age: 7-10

Young Lola/Simon
Playing age: 10-14
Please note, for this role we will be casting a person of colour

Children who are cast will be fully licenced and chaperoned.

It may seem like a life time ago since isolation, lock downs and the closure of Camberley Theatre and CMA….. but a stark reminder hit our Facebook feed today.
This time, 18 March 2020, we shut the doors to CMA. It was a very sad time but we powered through and like so many artists, theatre makers, production houses and creators around the globe…… we’re still here!

It’s not been easy. But we intend to grow once again.

A massive thank you to everyone who has continued to support us. We’re so very proud of the achievements of our students - especially under such touch times.

If you have a story to tell, or a special achievement to share, please let us know!!

In response to the Prime Minister’s statement on 16th March advising the public to avoid unnecessary contact, and in particular not going to theatres, we regret to inform you that all performances, events and activities at Camberley Theatre are suspended until 31st May 2020.

Where possible, we will reschedule performances for a future date and will communicate these with you once they are confirmed.

As you can imagine, we are hugely disappointed to be closing the theatre for this duration but the safety of our customers, artists, hirers and staff is our number one priority.

The Box Office will shortly begin contacting customers to inform you of new performance dates or offer credits / refunds for shows that we have to cancel.

The theatre building is now closed to the public so please do not try to visit the box office in person. However our team will be available to assist you via email and phone (see details below) during normal opening hours. We would ask that you bear with us in the coming days and weeks as we begin to reschedule performances and events where possible.

Another successful day at the Godalming Performing Arts Festival.

Congratulations to all those who performed.

Our Young Performers group who gained high marks in their first ever performance - 'Superhero Characters' - and thanks to Katie for stepping in at the last minute.

The Youth Theatre (Acing Company) winning their class and receiving high praise for their devised piece - 'Bakeoff - behind the scenes'

and the Youth Theatre (Musical Theatre Company) for receiving 85 marks for their performance - even with two people missing.

WELL DONE ALL!
