It's a very long time since I last updated this page, but I'm back as I have some lovely news! La Jolie Ronde has just won the award for Best National Activity for 5-12 year-olds at What's on 4 Juniors! We are delighted to get such great recognition for the fantastic programme that we teach as language learning at a young age is such a valuable skill to have. Thank you to all the parents and pupils for your support over the years!

Summer French sessions completed! They went brilliantly - all the children participated wonderfully and were very well behaved. I hope they all enjoyed the games, songs, and craft activities. Thank you to Katie Harflett and Penny Hatchman for your help - much appreciated. Now I need to start getting my September classes ready...not long to go until the new term begins!

Spaces on my French summer workshops are filling up...if you are interested but haven't yet booked spaces for your children, don't delay! The deadline for enrolment is Friday 27th July for the sessions on 2nd and 9th August, but the places might all be gone by then! Session times are:

Thurs 2nd Aug: 9.45-11.30am (5-8 yr olds), 1.30-3.15pm (8-11 yr olds)
Thurs 9th Aug: 9.45-11.30am (3-5 yr olds)
Tues 21st Aug: 9.45-11.30am (5-8 yr olds), 1.30-3.15pm (8-11 yr olds)
Thurs 23rd Aug: 9.45-11.30am (3-5 yr olds)

Well, that's another term finished! Well done to all my pupils for their hard work this term, and to those at Cherhill and Hilmarton Schools who put on a great little performance to show their parents some of the things we've been working on. Bravo et bonnes vacances!

I now have dates for the fun French sessions that I am planning to run over the summer. These are:

Thurs 2nd Aug: 9.45-11.30am (5-8 yr olds), 1.30-3.15pm (8-11 yr olds)
Thurs 9th Aug: 9.45-11.30am (3-5 yr olds)
Tues 21st Aug: 9.45-11.30am (5-8 yr olds), 1.30-3.15pm (8-11 yr olds)
Thurs 23rd Aug: 9.45-11.30am (3-5 yr olds)

The venue will be in Calne - location TBC based on numbers of children booking a place. The cost will be £7.50 per child, per session.

If you would like to book your children onto any of these sessions, please contact me for a booking form.

Any questions, please ask, and I would love to see as many children as possible over the summer to have some fun and learn some French! Thanks!

I am planning to run some French holiday activities for various age groups from preschoolers up to 11 yr olds These will be 1hr 45 mins at a cost of between £7 and £8 and will include French songs, games and arts & crafts. If you like the idea of fun and educational sessions for your children and some child-free time for you, please let me know! Once I have an idea of the level of interest, I will be able to confirm dates, times and venues. Merci!

2 great classes this lunchtime - lots of French games on a picnic mat under a tree at Cherhill School. Despite the distractions of school sports day going on around them, the children all did brilliantly. Bravo!

La Jolie Ronde has just won Best National Activity for 5-12 year olds in the What's On 4 Junior awards! Very glad that I've joined such a great organisation and loving teaching French - it's a brilliant job teaching a wonderful language to enthusiastic kids!
