Yesterday I shared my top 6 topics for Foundation GCSE Maths. Here are the ones that I would focus on as a Higher student.
There's a lot more content to learn for our Higher Year 11s, but if you can ace these then you're all but guaranteed a decent chunk of marks on the exams.
Solving equations - practice all types, especially quadratics and simultaneous equations.
Geometry problem solving - practice a variety of questions on trigonometry, circle theorems, volume, surface area, area and perimeter.
Statistical diagrams - histograms is a very common exam topic, and lots of marks are lost because students get confused between things like cumulative frequency diagrams and frequency polygons. Take a bit of time to familiarise yourself with all of the different diagrams and how to plot them.
Stuck on something in particular? Let me know and I'll see how I can help!
