Just to say we have no Stay and play at nursery this week as we have the children's Christmas party. Start back in January 2026.

Hi Donna, hope you are well. We were just wondering if you were able to post this on you nursery page as it was bought to our attention a few weeks back some people still didn’t know what FBS stood for! So as most of the new reception children are form nursery we thought it maybe a good place to explain.

Welcome to Butleigh School – A Note from the Friends of Butleigh School (FBS)

With many of your children starting at Butleigh School this September, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are the Friends of Butleigh School (FBS) – a small team of parents who organise and run fundraising events throughout the year. The money we raise goes directly toward enriching the children's school experience by funding equipment, activities, and little treats.

We hope your children enjoyed the new book bags – a small welcome gift from us to mark the beginning of their school journey.

If you're interested in getting involved, we’d love to welcome you to one of our meetings. Whether you want to join the team or just see what we're about, you're always more than welcome.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, 11th September at 9am at the school – a great opportunity to learn more and meet other parents.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer, and we look forward to welcoming you and your children in September!

We have our sports day on Thursday 10th July start 10.30 parents and carers are very welcome to come along and watch and support their child/ children. Nursery finishes on the 23rd July and starts back in September on the Thursday 4th we look forward to have lots of new children starting. If you're looking for a place for your child in September 25 we still have some spaces but we are filling up quite quickly.

Another lovely week of fun making faces, with snack also with small parts, playing with (maybe eating a little bit) of strawberry jelly, feeling the texture as it changes from bouncy to watery and then sticky. Painting our bodies that have been drawn around.

Making faces out of small parts. Lots of talk about features and how to make a face and what they liked about their faces. They took their own photo of their face.

Due to SATS being on in the mornings this week we are cancelling stay and playfor this week only.

Colour mixing explanation tuff tray. Lots of fun was had mixing pink, and oranges. With flowers, slices of lemon and oranges.

This week Stay and Play is not on as we are going with the school to church for the Easter service in the morning.

Second half of spring term is going very well. The sunshine has been so lovely. Outdoor fun in the sun is so much better. There are still a couple days with spaces.
