🐴 Fantastic Achievement for Phoenix! 🥉

We’re incredibly proud of Phoenix in Year 9, who represented County High School at the prestigious NSEA Hickstead Finals in August.

Competing against a very strong field, Phoenix produced a fantastic performance to finish an impressive 3rd in her division! 🏆👏

A brilliant achievement and a wonderful example of the ambition, determination and commitment of our students beyond the classroom.

🏐 WHAT A START TO THE SEASON! 🏐

A fantastic 41 players turned up for our first netball training session of the season! 🙌💪

It was brilliant to see so many familiar faces back on court, alongside some new ones, with loads of energy, enthusiasm and smiles all round. 💙💛

If tonight is anything to go by, we’re in for a brilliant season! 🔥

📸✨ Making memories!

We’re looking back at some of the fantastic trips our Year 8, 9 and 10 students enjoyed before the summer break!

Across the different trip days, students had the chance to enjoy Planet Laser & Abbeygate Cinema, an action-packed day at Pleasurewood Hills, or plenty of fun on the water at Alton Water Aqua Park! 🔫🎬🎢🌊

There were lots of smiles, laughter and great memories made along the way, and it was wonderful to see our students enjoying these experiences together. 💙

🎉 Celebrating the Class of 2026! 🎉

After a fantastic prom and some well-deserved GCSE success, we’re delighted to share the Year 11 Prom photographs.

We couldn’t be prouder of all our students and the resilience, determination, and achievements they have shown. As they move on to exciting new opportunities, we wish them every success and happiness in their next adventures.

🎉 Congratulations to our GCSE students at County High School, Bury St Edmunds, on their fantastic results!

The majority of our 185-strong cohort achieved the grades they need to progress onto their chosen next steps.

⭐ 20% of all grades were awarded at Grade 7 or above
⭐ 21 students achieved an average Grade 7 or higher across all subjects
⭐ Among students with good attendance, 62% achieved Grade 5+ in both English and maths and 80% achieved Grade 4+ in both English and maths

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, determination and resilience, and we wish them every success for the future.

🏆 DOUBLE NATIONAL CHAMPION! 🏊‍♂️🏃‍♂️

A huge congratulations to our very own Mr Moore, who had an incredible day on Sunday 16th August!

Mr Moore successfully defended his 2025 National Aquathlon Championship title and, to make the achievement even more special, added the British Aquathlon Championship title too! 🇬🇧🥇

An outstanding achievement and a fantastic example of dedication, determination and hard work. We are incredibly proud to have a double champion in our school community!
