Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.
We don’t usually like to talk about prices, but in this case, it’s an important part of the story.
Last month, we quoted £350 to professionally clean this LVT flooring.
Another company quoted £250, and the customer understandably asked if we could match the price. Unfortunately, we couldn’t, as our cleaning process and standards remain the same regardless of the price.
The customer chose the cheaper option.
Fast forward one month, and we received a phone call asking if we could come and take a look. The floor had been cleaned, but there was still a considerable amount of dirt remaining in the crevices.
The customer then asked if, now that the floor wasn’t quite as bad, we could clean it for £250. Again, unfortunately, we couldn’t. Our process, equipment, products and time required to achieve the correct result don’t change.
The customer decided to go ahead with our original £350 quotation.
Our cleaning process:
Pre-treated with the correct chemical for the type of flooring and level of soiling.
Rotary scrubbed using a black pad to work deep into the crevices and remove embedded dirt.
Hot water extraction rinse to remove the loosened soil and cleaning solution.
Rotary buffed using a red pad to finish the floor and leave it looking fresh and revitalised.
The end result?
A beautifully clean, fresh floor — looking as close to the day it was originally laid as possible.
And despite having already paid once for the floor to be cleaned, the customer was absolutely over the moon with the results.
We’re never about being the cheapest. We’re about doing the job properly, using the right process and delivering results that we’re proud to put our name to.
As the old saying goes:
“Buy cheap, buy twice.”
