So proud of my students and their English results this year 💙

In my first year of running BOS English Tutoring Hub, I couldn’t be prouder of what my students have achieved.

For me, the most important result isn’t simply the grade - it’s what that grade allows a young person to do next.

⭐ 95% of my students achieved what they needed to move on to their next step; whether that’s A Levels, college, an apprenticeship or a university pathway.

There have been some fantastic GCSE English Language and Literature grades, a Functional Skills English pass, and some students who came incredibly close to that next grade.

But behind every result is an individual student’s journey; where they all increased in confidence, resilience and put in a lot of hard work.

A huge well done to every one of them. 💙

So, with another week or so before school starts, it might be a good opportunity to spend a little time thinking about GCSE English. 📚

Whether your child/young person is going into Year 11 or preparing for an English resit, now is a good time to work out:

✔️ What have they already covered?
✔️ How did their mocks/GCSE go?
✔️ What needs consolidating?
✔️ Which English Language skills need more practice?
✔️ Which Literature texts, themes and quotations need revisiting?
