Thought proceeds action. We need to think something before we can bring it as a reality into our physical world. Everything that exists now, started with a thought...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you put any thought into how you want your 2021 to be er0tically?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is your biggest desire for your sxual life in the coming year? And what one action can you take in January, to move you towards that desire?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mine is to devote more time to er0tica personally - to learning and play and experiences. What one action can I take? That’s easy - switch my phone off at 9pm rather than give in to the lure of Instagram scrolling until sleep-time!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s yours??⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️ I don’t usually offer one-off coaching sessions, but old year/new year review and intention-setting is perfect for a standalone session. I am releasing a limited number of hour-long ‘2021 Pleasure-Setting’ sessions at a special new-year-offer rate of £110/$150. DM me to find out more and apply for a place. ⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m Ruth, and working with erotic energy as a force for good is my life’s purpose.

I have some new followers so thought I’d tell a brief version of my story.

As a girl I dreamt of being an exotic dancer or powerful courtesan. In my mid-20s I left a budding fashion journalism career when the opportunity arose to become a st******se artist. I danced, taught st******se, wrote, and modelled. I campaigned for the erotic rights of people with disabilities (winning an Erotic Award) and for the working rights of adult performers.

I had a fantastic 12 years. I met some astoundingly strong fellow humans, both on and off the stage. I spoke everywhere from Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme, to the office of the Mayor of Taipei, to the European Parliament in Brussels, to Love It! magazine. I performed tens of thousands of times.

I left that world behind when I moved to sheep-strewn countryside to create a happy stepfamily. But I missed it so much! Several years on, I retrained as a life coach... then had the epiphany that I could make my niche s*x and eroticism.

So here I am now, Ruth Ramsay, s*xual reboot coach 🙂

“HELP! I think I’m addicted to my vi****or. I can’t cm any other way any more!”

Don’t worry, you haven’t broken yourself!! Your body has just become accustomed to the type of stimulation, the sensation pathway, to or**sm that your vi****or gives. It can then be hard to cm another way, until you give your body a little time to readjust.

This is the same reason someone with a p***s can find it difficult to cm through pe*******on with a new partner, if they have been single and ma********ng a lot - the grip and speed of their hand, which they have become accustomed to, is so different.

But you are not addicted! - it will just take a period of readjustment (which can be viewed as an exquisite tease...) if you want re-learn how to cm another way.

I’ll talk about this and more in the s*x toys blog I am writing this week. Want to know when it goes live? Join my newsletter list via RuthRamsay.com

What are your biggest questions about s*x toys? DM me or share below!

Want an active, healthy brain into older age?

The advice of James Goodwin, professor in the physiology of ageing at Loughborough University, includes: “Engage in s*xual activity as frequently as you can. Almost any kind of s*xual activity has been shown to benefit brain function and many researchers have shown that the more the s*x, the better it is for the brain.”

So there you have it! 😀 Better plan ‘early nights’ along with the sudoku and pop a on the shopping list along with the omega three supplements!

❤️ CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHO THIS BEAUTIFUL PHOTO IS BY SO I CAN CREDIT THEM PLEASE? ❤️

When did you last try something new? Aka “about my Friday night....” 😉

The world of s*x toys and tech is developing fast. I am late to the party - I first heard about this toy (and the concept of ‘pleasure air technology’ c**t stim toys) on my fave podcast *xwithdrjess quite some time ago... but last night was my first play.

Summary? So different to any toy I’ve tried before that it took a little getting used to, but once I’d had a little experiment and adjusted techniques compared to traditional vibes - yes oh yes! I feel continued thorough testing is required in order to bring you a full review 😉

We can be shy to introduce toys into our erotic lives - will a partner feel they are “not enough”? Does enjoying a toy mean s*x without one starts to feel inferior? What if you find you want to use it every time? These are all concerns which good communication can ease. Consider why you want to try a toy - what’s your motive? How might it enhance your shared experience? What’s the best that might ‘come’ of it?

Where in your life can you see comparisons that can ease your concerns? Example - even I first got a blender I wanted to blend things every meal but after a while it became just one tool in my enjoyable kitchen adventures (I think the Womanizer may prove similar).

Or - aren’t toys all ugly bright-coloured plastic monstrosities based on ph***ic shapes?

If this is your concern, maybe (like me until recently) you haven’t set foot in an ‘adult emporium’ for quite some time. I’d urge you to check one out (online if in person isn’t possible) - the variety and design of toys for all genders is now quite astounding!

In other physically pleasurable areas of life we tend to embrace new technology, products and experiences. How would your s*x life look different if you did the same??

Public nudity - “yes please” or “no way”?

Or “I’d love to but I couldn’t”? If so read on...

I can’t wait to get my kit off (so long as the weather is warm). I’ll adjust how much comes off to the sensitivities of those around me, so on busy public beaches, my bikini bottoms stay on. I wouldn’t go out of my way to travel to a nudist beach... but if I happen to find one, I am delighted!

But until my mid 20s I was a girl who was shy to change clothes even in front of my best friend.

Then I started stripping (bizarrely the shyness didn’t apply in that scenario) and seeing dozens of naked women a day, stretchmarks, cellulite, Caesarean scars, razor burn and all; holidaying in Ibiza and experiencing beaches and nightclubs full of semi-nude dancing bodies; performing at kink events, where absolutely every body type of every age is welcomed; and at The Night Of The Senses (the afterparty for The Erotic Awards), where disability is zero barrier to skimpy dressing and s*xy behaviour.

I saw that it’s up to each of us to take responsibility for how comfortable we choose to be in our skin.

We may have layers of conditioning from culture, family and media to work through; trauma from our past needing professional help to be healed; negative comments from ex partners to forgive and forget... but it IS possible, if you want it.

Maybe you’d love to go on a nudist beach.

Maybe you’d like to feel totally comfortable sharing a hotel room with a friend.

Maybe you’d like to be able to undress in front of your partner without feeling a rush to get under the duvet.

Maybe you’d simply like to be able to be with yourself, naked, and feel peace.

If your reaction was “I’d love to, but...”, what could your first step be to increasing your confidence?

Ruth Ramsay's Art Of Tease workshop for the Love Abilities Online Festival. 29/10/2020

My ‘Art Of Tease’ workshop for the Love Abilities online s*x and disability festival is now on my YouTube 😍

The hour-long workshop is aimed to be as inclusive as possible, so I conduct it all seated, and with suggestions for participants with limited mobility and sight. You’ll see how a few basic principles can be carried across all versions of a tease, whether standing, seated, or even conducted purely verbally!

There is no nudity in this workshop but the principles I teach to take off accessories and outerwear can be continued on to underwear, should you choose.

I loved delivering this workshop and had great feedback. I hope you enjoy it!

‘As a st******se artist I looked at my v***a in a mirror around 60 times a week. That’s approaching 3,000 times a year!

I looked before every stage show, as did most dancers. It was a ritual. A quick peek with a hand mirror, checking for stray bits of loo roll, dangling tampon strings, discharge, bits of fluff from outfits… At home I’d check a couple of times a week on how my shaving looked, keep an eye out for spots, and generally admire this part of my body, which I was as familiar with as my face.

I was familiar with other dancers’ v***as too. Not that we stared at each other’s, but we saw each other on stage and in the dressing room – the latter usually being overcrowded places with harsh lighting, crammed with performers with zero body shyness...’

Curious to read more, including the importance of getting comfortable with your ge****ls and a coaching exercise to get more familiar with what your v***a wants and needs?

S*x: more like driving a car, or like cooking?

Did you learn to do it ages ago, and now it’s almost an autopilot experience, one you expect to do in the same way forever? Or is it something where you have your favourites which suit your health/lifestyle/tastes, but you’re also on the lookout for new experiences, and enjoy sometimes making it into a special event?

I believe when it’s good, it’s more like cooking. You may create the same tried-and-trusted dishes regularly, but it’s also fun to learn about new techniques, gadgets and ingredients. Occasionally you plan, shop and spend hours creating something spectacular, then savour every mouthful.

You recognise that your tastes, and those of the people you regularly share meals with, will change over time (sometimes over a few hours). And it can get sweaty and messy... 😉

Petrolheads and car lovers may disagree with me! Which do you think it’s most like? 🚘 🥘
