Supporting organisations across the UK is a huge part of Entire’s impact and feedback like this from business leaders following Matt Ogle’s sessions shows us how Brick Theory is being taken away and put into practice. 🧱
Lauren from Progressive recently shared her experience after putting Brick Theory into practice for the first time in her teaching.
As someone who is newly diagnosed autistic, Lauren reflected on how her own need for clear structure and routine had shaped the way she taught for years.
But Matt’s session made her stop and think: what would I need if I were the child in this lesson?
So, instead of starting with her usual routine, she tried movement first -straight into an activity and something fun. She reflected on the instructions she gave, the questions she asked and how she delivered them.
“Was it perfect? No. But has it got me thinking, reflecting and developing myself? 100%.”
Lauren also took Brick Theory into her leadership, recognising the importance of being honest about the bricks she carries herself and allowing others to help lighten the load.
“It’s not always easy showing your vulnerable side, but life’s too short to keep adding to your load without trying to do something about it.”
This is what Brick Theory is all about reflecting on the bricks we carry, the bricks we add to others, and what we can do to make the load a little lighter. 🧱
