🚒...Fire Service Visit...🚒

Our learners enjoyed an exciting and memorable science lesson today with a special visit from the fantastic crew at our local fire station!

The firefighters demonstrated how they would safely manage a chemical spill, giving everyone a fascinating insight into the important work they do to keep our community safe. Learners were fully engaged, asking lots of brilliant questions and learning about the specialised equipment used in emergency situations.

One of the highlights of the day was getting the chance to see the equipment up close, explore the gear used by firefighters, and even climb inside a real fire truck! 🚒

A huge thank you to the fire crew for taking the time to visit the school and inspire our learners and to the Science Department for organising it all!!

Experiences like this help bring science to life and spark curiosity about the world around us.

Our learners made the most of the improved weather this week during their PE session! ☀️⚽

They enjoyed getting outside onto the 3G pitch for a game of football, showing great teamwork, energy and enthusiasm throughout the session. It was fantastic to see everyone staying active, supporting one another and having fun while developing their skills.

Our learners have been having a fantastic time building their social skills through fun group games! 🎲😊

Working together in teams helps everyone practise important skills like communication, turn-taking, listening, and supporting each other. It’s wonderful to see the encouragement, laughter, and friendships growing as they play and learn together.

Group activities like these create a safe and positive space where learners can build confidence, develop relationships, and enjoy learning as a team. We are so proud of the effort and teamwork shown by everyone! 👏

🧱 LEGO Challenge Time!

Some of our learners worked on developing their communication and interaction skills this morning through a fun LEGO challenge. One pupil became the engineer, directing staff to find the correct pieces. Staff became the suppliers, passing the parts to the pupil builder, who followed instructions from their partner to complete the construction.

Lots of teamwork, listening and problem solving – and plenty of encouragement from our wellbeing dog Hiccup 🐾😊

Our learners have been busy getting creative and putting their hearts into crafting some beautiful handmade gifts for Mother’s Day. From colourful cards to thoughtful keepsakes, every piece was made with love, care, and lots of imagination. 🎨💝

It’s been wonderful to see their creativity shine and the pride they felt making something special for the important women in their lives. Handmade gifts truly are the most meaningful! 💐

This week our learners got busy in the kitchen baking some beautiful Mother’s Day cupcakes! 🧁💐

There was so much love, effort and teamwork put into every single one. From measuring and mixing to decorating the final touches, our learners worked together wonderfully and showed great patience, creativity and care.

The room was full of smiles, laughter and the delicious smell of baking! It was fantastic to see everyone supporting each other and taking pride in what they created.

We’re sure these cupcakes have made their m**s feel very special this Mother’s Day. 💕

🎧 Our learners had an incredible time in today’s session with DJ Dean!

They got hands-on experience using the loop board, experimenting with different sounds, and learning how to layer and mix their own beats. The room was full of creativity, energy, and plenty of head-nodding rhythms as everyone explored what they could create.

It was fantastic to see learners so engaged, building confidence and developing new skills through music. A huge thank you to DJ Dean for such an inspiring and interactive session!

☀️ Our learners made the most of the beautiful sunshine today!

They enjoyed spending time outdoors, socialising with friends while getting creative with colourful chalk. It was wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they worked together to create bright and cheerful drawings.

Thanks to their creativity and teamwork, our wall is now looking colourful, vibrant, and full of personality! 🎨

⚽ Our learners had a fantastic time during today’s PE lesson enjoying a fun and energetic game of football!

The session focused on developing key skills such as teamwork, communication, dribbling, passing, and spatial awareness. Our learners showed great determination, supported one another brilliantly, and demonstrated some impressive footwork on the pitch.

Most importantly, there were lots of smiles, laughter, and a real love for being active. It was wonderful to see everyone building confidence while learning through play.

Today our staff turned the pages of imagination into reality by dressing up as the colourful emotions from Inside Out! 💜❤️💛💙💚

From Joy spreading smiles everywhere, to Sadness bringing the dramatic flair, Anger keeping things fiery, Disgust serving the sass, and Fear making sure we stayed on our toes — our workplace has been full of laughter, creativity, and a few emotional moments! 😄

World Book Day is all about celebrating the magic of stories, characters, and the joy of reading. Today we’ve definitely felt *all the emotions* while sharing our favourite books and inspiring a love of reading.

🥞✨Early Pancake Day Fun!✨🥞

Our learners had a flipping good time celebrating an early Pancake Day! They loved getting hands-on and creating their own pancakes.

Choosing their favourite toppings was so much fun, every step was filled with excitement and smiles. The room was full of laughter, delicious smells, and lots of proud little chefs! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

It was a wonderful way to build confidence, independence, and life skills – and of course, enjoy a tasty treat together! 😋💛

What a fun (and yummy) day!
