🔭 Know a Year 10 student who’s thinking about studying Physics at A Level?

I’m starting a small-group AQA GCSE Physics study group for students going into Year 10 who are interested in taking Physics further, but would benefit from a confidence boost as they start their GCSE.

We’ll focus on really understanding the physics, building problem-solving skills and developing the confidence to tackle challenging questions, so students can get the most out of their GCSE and feel well prepared if they decide to take Physics at A Level.

If you know a student or family who might benefit, I’d really appreciate you sharing this flyer or passing it on to anyone who might be interested.

Please also feel free to share it in your local parent, school or community groups if you think it could be useful.

📩 Message me to find out more and arrange a free intro chat.

Every share helps me reach the students who could really benefit from a little extra confidence in Physics. 🌿

I am so proud of this year’s GCSE bunch. They have done so well! They’ve worked steadily, shown real resilience, and ended up with some brilliant results. One even jumped three grades from their mocks, which is just incredible.

What’s stood out most is the shift in confidence. Bit by bit, they’ve backed themselves more, pushed through the wobbles, and proved what they’re capable of.

A fantastic effort from a fantastic group.

GCSE results day is tomorrow.

In an ideal world, everyone would be happy with what their results show they are capable of...

But we don't live in an ideal world.

For every celebrated Grade 9, someone else got a Grade 1, because grade boundaries are decided once all results are in - pitting students against each other every time.

Many will be disappointed. It might be the first time they have experienced such, especially when written in black and white.

On my YouTube channel I have a short tapping video to reduce the emotional impact of this disappointment. Link is in bio on Insta and comments on FB.

I am not precious about this resource, please feel free to share it far and wide.

Results day can feel like the whole future is sitting inside a few numbers.

But whatever comes out today, remember: you are so much more than a grade on a piece of paper. You’ve learned things, solved problems, made mistakes, tried again and probably survived some absolutely feral exam questions.

Be proud of yourself for getting here.

And if today doesn’t go the way you hoped? That’s not the end of the story either. There are always routes forward.

Good luck, GCSE results gang. 💚🌿

Such a cool experience! Glad the clouds cleared out just long enough for us to see pretty close to the peak of the eclipse. The most magical part was seeing the strange quality that the light had to it, and all the people who turned up to witness it together.

Some great advice for viewing the eclipse this week! My favourite is the colander trick!

I’m really pleased to have become a member of Education Revolution.

I still love teaching in school. There’s a buzz about a busy science department that I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of, and I’m lucky to work with brilliant colleagues who care deeply about their students.

At the same time, running Bright Fern has shown me that there isn’t a single way to help young people succeed.

Some students flourish in a classroom. Others need a smaller group, a different pace, a little more flexibility or simply someone to help rebuild their confidence in science.

That’s why Education Revolution really resonates with me. It’s a community of educators, parents and advocates who are exploring how education can be more inclusive, more adaptable and more responsive to the needs of individual learners.

Whether I’m teaching a full class in school or working with a student through Bright Fern, my goal is the same: to help young people understand the world a little better, believe in their own ability and discover that science is something they can do.

I’m looking forward to learning from this community, sharing ideas and continuing to grow as an educator.

The summer holidays are in full swing, the Education Revolution Collective has just launched, and behind the scenes there's been a lot of admin, a lot of planning, and a lot of life happening all at once!

The Collective is community for tutors, educators, advocates and practitioners who are already doing values-led, inclusive work with children and families who want a place to connect with others who get it, access to specialist CPD, and to add real collective weight to the campaigns fighting for change in education.

There are three tiers to choose from:

**Ally - free** - for anyone who cares about a kinder, fairer, more inclusive education system. Join our WhatsApp community and mailing list and stay connected with the movement.

**Supporter - £5/month** - for professionals who want to go deeper. Access guest speaker calls and community Zooms alongside like-minded educators and advocates.

**Member - £20/month** - for tutors, educators and practitioners ready to fully commit to our grassroots movement for change. CPD discounts, a private members WhatsApp, a directory listing, a charter badge and referral opportunities.

If that sounds like your thing, head to the link in the comments to find out more :)
