😂🌟 THE REAL LIFE OF A PRESCHOOL MANAGER… 🌟😂

⏰ 6:00am — We arrive.

Yes… 6AM. 😳
While normal people are still tucked up in bed, we’re setting up activities, preparing rooms, doing checks and wondering whether one coffee is enough. ☕️

Spoiler: it isn’t. 😂

⏰ 8:30am — The doors open and our Little Stars arrive…

And the madness begins! 🤣🌟

Within the first hour, we may hear:

👧 “My Daddy sleeps with no clothes on.”
👦 “Mummy said a naughty word in the car.”
👧 “My Nan has big pants.”
👦 “Daddy did a MASSIVE poo this morning.”
👧 “Mummy said she needs wine.” 🍷😂

Parents… your secrets are NOT safe at preschool. 👀🤣

Then there are the daily emergencies…

🍌 Banana cut incorrectly = DISASTER
🥪 Sandwich broken in half when it was supposed to stay whole = UNFORGIVABLE
🧦 One sock feels “funny” = FULL INVESTIGATION REQUIRED
🧸 Teddy missing = EVERYBODY SEARCH
🦖 Someone else has the dinosaur = INTERNATIONAL CRISIS

And of course…

“Can you wipe my bum?”
“Watch me!”
“WATCH ME!”
“WATCH MEEEE!”
“Why?”
“Why?”
“But why?” 😂😂😂

By lunchtime, we’ve wiped noses, tied shoes, changed nappies, solved arguments, sung approximately 763 songs and been told at least one completely confidential piece of family information. 🤦‍♀️🤣

But behind all that chaos is something pretty wonderful. ❤️

Every day our children are learning.

🌟 Making friendships
🌟 Building confidence
🌟 Becoming independent
🌟 Learning to communicate
🌟 Exploring the world
🌟 Feeling safe, secure and loved

We might start at 6am, we might drink cold coffee, and we might go home with paint, playdough and something suspicious on our clothes…

But seeing those little faces run through the doors at 8:30am makes it worth it. 🥰

All our parents and carers are welcome to attend the coffee shop at the church after dropping off their little stars 🌟 go and say hello 👋🏼

Did you know our Coffee shop is open from 9am every Friday for parents, carers & grandparents to come in straight from the nursery & school run?

Do join us at Coffee shop, tomorrow morning and/ or Saturday morning.

Friday 9am - midday

Saturday 10am - midday.

This weekend is our Macmillan Coffee morning, so we'll have plenty of tasty cakes too ☕️🧁🫖🍰☕️

I just want to say the biggest thank you to my incredible team ❤️🌟

Being away this week celebrating my birthday and our wedding anniversary with my husband has been really special 🥂🎂❤️, but what has made it even more enjoyable is knowing that I haven’t had to worry about the preschool for a second.

Knowing that everything is in such safe hands and that our children are being cared for, loved and supported just as they should be means more to me than you probably realise. ❤️

I’ve worked so hard to build Rising Stars into what it is today, and being able to step away and know that you all care about it as much as I do makes me incredibly proud. 🥹⭐️

You’ve kept everything running, supported one another and shown what a fantastic team you really are. That trust is priceless to me.

So thank you — genuinely — for everything you do, not just while I’m away, but every single day. I’m incredibly lucky and proud to have you all as part of Team Rising Stars. 🌟❤️

You really are the heart of our preschool. Thank you so much. ❤️ ###

We’re excited to introduce our Stars Room, designed for our older Rising Stars and children beginning to prepare for their eventual transition to school. 🎒🌈✨

The Stars Room generally supports children aged approximately 2½ to 4 years. However, just like our other rooms, placement is not based on age alone. ❤️

Every child is unique and develops at their own pace, so our experienced team carefully considers each child’s individual developmental needs, confidence, independence and readiness when deciding which room will best support them. 🌱

We’re delighted to introduce our Rising Stars Room, led by Georgia, with Cori as part of her team. 💛✨

🌈 Who is the Rising Stars Room for?

This room has been specifically designed for our older Twinkles and younger Stars, generally for children aged approximately 24 months to 3 years.

However, we recognise that every child develops at their own pace. ❤️ Placement within the Rising Stars Room is therefore not based on age alone. Each child’s individual developmental needs, confidence, independence and readiness are carefully assessed by our team to make sure they are in the environment that best supports them.

🌱 The Rising Stars Room provides an important stepping stone between our Twinkle and Star Rooms, helping to make transitions gentle and positive while giving children opportunities to develop their communication, independence, social skills and confidence through age- and stage-appropriate play and learning.

Amy and her team will provide a warm, caring and nurturing environment where our little Twinkles can feel safe, secure and happy. ❤️

The room and activities are designed around the developmental needs of younger children, giving them lots of opportunities to explore, play and learn at their own pace. 🧸🎨📚🎶

There will be plenty of sensory and messy play, stories and songs, physical play, outdoor exploration and lots of cuddles and reassurance when needed. 🫧🎵🌿🥰
