Today we took our little duck out on an adventure while dropping the older children off at school and despite the pouring rain, spirits were high!
On the way back, we turned our walk into a puddle hunt, carefully searching for which puddles were “just right” for a swim. After lots of giggles, splashes and curious exploration, we found the perfect puddle in the car park at St Mary’s Church in Old Hayes.
Safe to say, the duck very much approved of her swim! 🦆💦💛
Thank you St Mary’s for having the best puddle around!

🌹 This little set up was very sweet. I didn’t want to waste my rose petals so thought I’d add them to our play. We had wonderful perfume water play

What better way to keep cool on this beautiful day but with zesty water 🍋 I added flower petals, lemons and limes and ice. The children said it smells of lemon Vicky 🤩 however they were unsure on what a lime was 🙂

🐠 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive.
Last week the children really seemed to have enjoyed our water play out in the garden with water and loose parts so over the weekend I bought a little fishing rod.
Todays provocation was set up based on their interests. We listened to sounds of the ocean via the Alexa the children remained engaged for a good length of time. Lots of great vocabulary was used with new words added too! Lots of listening to the Alexa asking what the sound of the waves was they could hear. 🐬🐬🌊🌊🌊 ⭐️

Yesterday was National Childminder Day ⭐️ I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 14 and I love my job as much as I did the first day I started all those years ago! I’m so thankful to all of the wonderful families who have passed through my door allowing me to share their children’s development journey. It’s such a gift to be able to work with the future’s generation. We embark on our own adventures each day whilst keeping their families at the forefront of each day. Childminding is a wonderful profession to be in, with so many benefits. I champion all my fellow childminders who do an amazing job each day, raising standards for children ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Playing and exploring, exploring and playing. A basic tray of rice kept this member entertained for a good length of time. He created scoops for the rice with the shells 🤩

The children have been most interested in the change of season and seeing the blossom trees so we created some spring of our own!

The children have been really enjoying our new light panel, they have been testing their own ideas! To be honest lots of resources have been on the panel to see if they change or look different. Even the after school children have enjoyed it.

🤩 Punching the air because this member counted the correct amount of dinosaurs for his pot! Woohoo! These counters, bowls, dice and tweezers cover so many areas of learning I personally really enjoy using these with the children. Colour recognition, number recognition, fine motor skill, number association, counting skills, turn taking, game play rules the list is endless 🤩🤩🤩🤩
