Today at Little Crocs, the children had the opportunity to meet 2 tortoises that belong to our practitioner, Georgia.
This activity helps children observe and respect living things and develop empathy through gentle handling and daily care routines. Additionally, discussing the tortoise's habitat and behaviour encourages communication and language as children ask questions, share observations, and expand their vocabulary.

Our Little Crocs enjoyed this spray painting activity. It was a fun and engaging sensory experience that supports both physical and creative development. Squeezing the spray bottles strengthens hand muscles and coordination, which are important for writing and other fine motor tasks. The large scale, open ended nature of this activity encourages self expression, experimentation with colour, and gross motor movement, all while enjoying the benefits of fresh air and outdoor play.

Our little crocs have been enjoying their weekly sports sessions with coach Ollie from . These sessions provide the children with valuable opportunities to develop physical, social and emotional skills in an active and enjoyable way. These sessions help improve coordination, balance and gross motor skills while promoting teamwork, resilience, and communication. These sessions also embed a love for movement and healthy habits from an early age, all within a fun and supportive environment.

When children look in a mirror and paint a self portrait, they engage in meaningful learning that supports self- awareness, observation skills, and creativity. This activity helps children recognise their own facial features, expressions and individuality while developing fine motor skills. It also encourages conversations around identity and self expression, laying a strong foundation for confidence and emotional development.

It was lovely to see our friends again at Queen Elizabeth House. Such a lovely way to spend our afternoon.

Following on from the children's interests, we took a trip to crystal palace park to follow a trail that led to lots of dinosaurs!
