The grand total from our Wooden Spoon Charity Fundraiser was £231! Thank you so much to everyone who supported us.

Lovely morning litter picking as part of . Sadly, we managed to collect a whole black sackful but were rewarded with a doughnut and even found some buried treasure!

It’s National Wooden Spoon Day! We are doing our own little fundraiser:
- selling wooden spoons to decorate and turn into toys.
- participating in a sponsored rugby relay challenge.

Lovely morning in the library yesterday, collaborating with other local childminders to craft, colour and eat our way through The Very Hungry Caterpillar story.

This never gets old. Best job ever.

I have been guilty of this, we probably all have. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of our grown-up perception about the icky feeling of being wet and the inconvenience of having to get changed.
This is a great reminder to listen to the kids and try to see things through their eyes - the children in these photos have had a great time living the sensory experience of rain and mud and are learning how the physical world works at the same time.
Next time they want to go out in the rain, I am going to take them. So, parents, make sure your washing machines are working this winter! 😁💧🌈

One of my favourite England players, not least because of her positive messages for girls about body image. What she says about how rugby has a place and a job for people of different shapes and sizes is just as relevant for boys and girls. Let’s all help our kids to love and enjoy their bodies for what they can do and worry less about how others see them.

We had In Awe and Wonder all to ourselves this morning. Lovely play session and some welcome relief from the burning heat of the last few days.

Thank you so much to all the parents, neighbours and friends, near and far, who supported our fundraiser today. We raised a whopping £157! More than 3 times our target.
Special thanks to Lawrence for making most of the delicious cakes.

Well done to all the children for also making and decorating delicious cakes, making the price tags and cake labels, and colouring in the decorations. Unfortunately, I failed to get a single photo of the sale itself. 😢
