So many 8 and 9s!!!! 🤩⭐️🤩⭐️ 🎉 An exceptional set of GCSE results from our tutees and my last school class. It’s been a pleasure reading through your flurry of happy messages today. To say I am proud is an understatement. The results speak for themselves - with students exceeding their target grades of 6 and 7s and instead securing 2-3 grades higher!

I was confident that my students received the highest quality of English teaching on offer, but the onus always falls onto our young people and their performance on the day; they clearly executed their subject knowledge and perception with compelling clarity in the high stakes setting. 🙌 Congratulations to the class of 2023 🌟🎓

Do see the exam as an opportunity to showcase all you have learnt and do link back to how the writer uses their text to challenge/espouse/elevate etc. aspects of a theme/their society. A few months ago, I teamed up with MASSOLIT to create some new educational content for ambitious literature students. If your child's school has a subscription, they will be able to log in over the coming months and access chapter tests, lesser-known facts, and a gap analysis feature for a range of GCSE/A-LEVEL texts. My course content on 'The Great Gatsby' is the first to go LIVE - it has over 130 quiz questions to try ! 📘👓 "Good luck, old sport." 🍸🎉

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Just the most amazing news from our 11+ parents this afternoon: every one of our pupils passed!! A huge congratulations to all of our students. We’ve now secured a 100% pass rate for the 2nd year running. 🏆 A remarkable achievement - I have been very grateful to work with such dedicated young individuals. Next year, we look forward to welcoming siblings to our online world 👋 We will also be expanding our provision to offer more availability with an additional maths specialist tutor. Exciting times ahead for all of us, and I look forward to hearing about your secondary school choices. 👏🏻

Our mailing list have just received some final bits of advice and reminders about exam technique this evening ✉️ I hope our Year 6s are feeling rested and well prepared for tomorrow. "...It is perfectly normal for your child to feel nervous under the pressure, or with just the thought of having a test in the first place. I hope my words of reassurance in the lead up have gone some way to instilling the confidence to tackle such a challenge. The tests should be a valuable experience, whatever the outcome..."
