✨A wonderful way to round off our RGS20 celebrations!✨
This week, we were delighted to unveil a beautiful new bench, generously funded by our amazing PTA. Mr Houghton officially ‘opened’ the bench alongside a group of students proudly wearing clothing that celebrated the many cultures and traditions that make up our vibrant RGS community.
A huge thank you to our PTA for this lasting gift to the school. 💚

🎨💙 Power for Good 💙🎨
Last year, our Year 9 Art students took on a Public Art project with an important mission: to create an anti-bullying artwork inspired by Keith Haring, communicating the message ‘Power for Good’.
Congratulations to Shayla H, whose winning design has now been transformed into a permanent large-scale artwork at RGS. A huge thank you also to Emily C and Rebecca W (Year 9), who helped bring the final piece to life.
At RGS, we believe everyone has the power to make a positive difference. By speaking up, showing kindness and supporting one another, we can all help create a school where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

🍫 Year 10 Business at Cadbury World 🍫
Our Year 10 Business students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Cadbury World on Monday, exploring the fascinating history of one of Britain’s best-known brands and discovering how the business has evolved since the 1800s.
Alongside the learning, there was plenty of fun too – from the Cocoa Bean Ride and 4D Cinema to writing their names in melted chocolate! A great day of business, creativity and, of course, chocolate. 🍫✨

✨Kids go FREE this summer✨
From 18 July to 6 September, kids can again hop on almost all local buses for free. No booking or bus pass required.
The scheme covers all school-age children from 5 to 15, including those in secondary school. And there’s no need to travel with a fare-paying adult, perfect for older kids who want to travel independently or with friends.
Free bus travel for under-16s will continue to be available during the summer, Christmas and Easter school holidays until at least 2029, thanks to funding from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.
