A huge thank you to all our Year 6 parents and carers who attended our Information Evening yesterday.
It was wonderful to welcome so many families as we shared what life at RGS has in store for our newest students. We hope the evening provided a helpful insight into the exciting journey ahead and answered any questions about the transition to secondary school.
We look forward to welcoming our Year 6 pupils to the RGS community very soon. 💙

Geography Fieldwork on the Somerset Coast☀️
Our Year 10 Geography GCSE students enjoyed a fantastic day of fieldwork along the Somerset coastline, visiting Minehead and Porlock to investigate coastal processes and management strategies 🌊
At Minehead, students assessed the effectiveness of a range of sea defences and coastal management techniques before travelling to Porlock to analyse how natural processes influence beach morphology 📏
Our students demonstrated outstanding resilience, adaptability, and enthusiasm throughout the day. Their positive attitude and commitment to learning made the trip a great success 🙌 A brilliant day of geographical investigation, teamwork, and sunshine 🌟

☀️Uniform Update☀️
From Monday 15 June, blazers will be optional due to the warmer weather forecast. Students may choose whether to wear a blazer. On cooler days, a plain navy V-neck jumper, RGS PE sweatshirt or any RGS hoodie may be worn.
Please keep hold of blazers, as they remain part of the RGS uniform.
✨Shout out to the girls who sit in the maths corridor that helped create this picture using their own blazers 🙌✨
Thank you for your support 💙

🎭Year 7 Performance🎭
Our Year 7 students kicked off their primary school tour of Dexter and Winter’s Detective Agency this week with a fantastic performance at Westbury Park Primary. 👏
This production is a true whole-school collaboration, directed by Year 10 students, supported backstage by Year 7 Theatre Makers, with an original score by Year 9 musicians.
The tour continues before the cast returns to RGS for a special performance on Thursday 18 June at 6:30pm. Tickets are still available via ParentPay – we’d love to see lots of support from the RGS community! ⭐🎭

What can you say about the Marvellous Mullis’ Mystifying Magic Show? Perhaps too much… ✨🎩
A dazzling whirlwind of weirdness, colour and confusion, it left students in Years 7–10 questioning everything they thought they knew about reality.
A huge congratulations to all the students who wowed the audience with feats of illusion that seemed truly impossible.
Overseeing the chaos was the incomparable Mr Mullis, whose legendary magic rubber trick has already earned its place in school folklore — and is sure to be talked about for at least another 20 years of RGS history! 🔮
