Every young person has potential.

With the right support, confidence grows.
With confidence, progress follows.

We’ve seen first-hand how small steps can lead to big changes, not just in grades, but in mindset.

MGTCIC is here to make that support accessible to more families.

Last week, we held our first MGTCIC directors meeting.

A shared vision.
Clear priorities.
And a real commitment to making this work.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, but everything is focused on one outcome:

👉 Supporting young people who need it most

We’re building something meaningful for our local community.

🎉 We’ve launched something new… and it could make a real difference locally.

👉 How it works:

• Tickets cost just £1 per week
• Every ticket helps fund free tuition for local children
• You’ll be entered into draws with prizes of up to £25,000

It’s designed to be:

✔ Affordable
✔ Easy to join
✔ A real way to give back to your local community

If you’ve ever wanted to support what we do but weren’t sure how, this is a great place to start.

We speak to families every week who want extra support for their child…

…but feel they simply can’t afford it.

That’s the reality for many families across Portishead, Clevedon and North Somerset.

Not a lack of ambition.
Not a lack of care.
Just a lack of access.

MGTCIC exists to change that.

28/04/2026

Access to education shouldn’t depend on financial circumstances.

At MGTCIC, we’re working to provide free and funded tuition for children who need it most, supported by local businesses and our community.

We’re currently building towards launching funded places in September.

If you’re a parent who feels cost is a barrier, or you’d simply like to follow what we’re building, we’d love to have you with us.

This is just the beginning.

26/04/2026

A big step forward for MGTCIC.

This week we held our first directors' meeting, and it’s clear we’re building something that will make a real difference in our community.

We now have:

✔ A shared vision
✔ Clear priorities
✔ A plan to turn this into action

Our goal is simple: to make high-quality educational support accessible to children who need it most.

Over the coming months, we’ll be:

- Building partnerships with local businesses
- Raising funding for student places
- Opening applications for funded tuition starting this September

If you’re:

👉 A parent who feels cost is a barrier
👉 A local business wanting to give back
👉 Or someone who simply wants to support what we’re building

We’d love to hear from you.

This is just the beginning.

This morning, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I connected with a brilliant mix of business owners, all of whom are passionate about giving back to the community. It was a chance to share the early stages of a community project I’m currently leading- a litter bag initiative that I hope will help us all take more pride in our shared spaces.

The goal? Simple: make it easier for families, walkers, and young people to do their bit, one bag at a time. It’s early days, but the response was hugely positive and has given me loads to think about.

Big thanks to the Rotary Club for the warm welcome. Here’s to building a cleaner, more connected community.
