We didn’t have a lot of space on the boat but we always made room for the books. These were the ones that traveled with us from port to port - read over breakfast, stretched out on deck, or curled up in a cabin on a stormy afternoon. Dog-rated, salt-kissed, and well-used.

When you live in a small space, every item has to earn its place. These books did - again and again.

Printed pages offer something screens can’t. They give children time to pause, to absorb, to return to an idea without distraction.

These weren’t resources - they were our anchors in learning.
