A reminder that this Friday is an Inset Day and the school/pre school will be closed to all pupils for staff training.

To celebrate the end of term, there will be an Ice cream truck in Keystage 2 playground at the end of the day on Thursday for anybody who would like a refreshing ice cream in the sun.
Thank you to the Friends Of St Bernadette's for organising this as a treat for all the children ☺️🍦🍧

Thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for the classroom science activities.
It was lovely to see so many there and the children loved having you there to see their experiments being brought to life!

Last week we were lucky enough to watch a BMX stunt show delivered by champion BMX rider Matti Hemmings from Fusion Extreme. Year 4, 5 and 6 were also lucky enough to take part in BMX workshops with Matti!
Well done to Miss Tilley for also being a good sport and taking part when Matti asked for a teacher volunteer!

This was a reward paid for by the Schools Active Travel Team at Bristol City Council who we have worked closely with to promote walking, wheeling, cycling and scooting to and from school.
The council wanted to recognise and congratulate our school and the pupils for all our hard work in recently achieving the Modeshift STARS β€˜Good’ accreditation award level and to encourage more children to cycle.

This is a significant achievement, and we should all be very proud of the positive steps we are taking as a school community to leave our cars at home for those short journeys and choose to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot where possible in order to reap all of the health and environmental benefits!
Thank you to Matti and also to Bryony, our Active Travel Officer for helping to organise this.

Well done to our year 6 pupils who put on a brilliant performance of the Time Travelling Cowboys for the whole school and their parents and carers this morning.
Written and directed entirely by the cast themselves with no adult input. They have worked so hard over the last few months putting the performance together, practising everyday, setting the scenes with props built and constructed also entirely by themselves!
You should all be very proud of yourselves as are we!! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸŽ
