🧗‍♂️ Four sessions. Nine climbers. One brilliant weekend at Avon Gorge!

From private climbing sessions to first experiences on real rock, it was a busy couple of days at one of Bristol’s most iconic climbing venues.

Our private sessions included a father-and-sons team of three and a one-to-one session, giving us plenty of time to work on individual goals, develop existing skills and explore the different challenges each route had to offer.

Alongside these, we welcomed three climbers on Saturday and another two on Sunday for our Rock Climbing Experiences - learning new skills, solving problems on the rock and, most importantly, getting plenty of climbing done! 🙌

And the Gorge was certainly buzzing.

We shared the crag with the University of Bristol as they ran their annual Freshers’ Week Give It A Go sessions. It was fantastic to see so many new climbers out on the rock, having a go and discovering what this amazing sport has to offer.

Hopefully, we were watching the start of more than a few climbing journeys! 🧗‍♀️

What a brilliant session at Avon Gorge yesterday! Three determined climbers, plenty of encouragement, and route after route of outdoor climbing. 🙌

One of the best parts of the session was seeing just how much peer-to-peer learning developed throughout the experience. Sharing ideas, watching how each other approached the rock, offering encouragement and learning from one another - confidence grew with every route.

That’s what we love about climbing. It’s not just about reaching the top; it’s about problem-solving, supporting each other and discovering what you’re capable of on real rock.
