The Pool are pleased to announce that Nina Yamada has joined the Pool artists fold.

Nina a DJ, vinyl collector, curator, and founder of .london , the UK wing of legendary Japanese record store, label and streetwear brand Jazzy Sport, which has been shaping Japan’s music and fashion culture since 2002.

Deeply influenced by her father’s extensive vinyl collection (as core member of Jazzy Sport Japan) and the vibrant collective of musicians, DJs, producers, designers, and artists that coalesced around collective via Tokyo’s hip hop, soul and (nu) jazz scene of the 2000s - Nina’s relationship with music and the dancefloor started early and runs deep.

With an early immersion within Japan’s dance culture, and more recent exposure within London’s clubbing scene, Nina’s sets gently guides audiences into a soulful and organic place, moving fluidly across deep house, downtempo, dub, disco, acid jazz, Afrobeat, jazz, Latin, reggae, broken beat, and other groove-driven genres that peak her interest.

Since arriving in the UK in 2022, she has performed across Europe and Asia, appearing at Panorama Bar, , , , and .ldn with well received streams for and .fr and a forthcoming video stream for alongside .tape proving demand for Nina’s sound continues rising.

With a busy summer remaining, we are pleased to see Nina playing across London, Norway, Ibiza, and France before heading to tour Asia and Japan in late September. We encourage you to go catch her spinning at one of the below dates …

We are thrilled to welcome the sunny and warmest to the Pool roster! 🌞

Mafalda has a motto: only play the records you really, really love. You can see that ethos in action when she’s behind the decks, as the beginning of a track makes her smile, or as she sings along the whole way through.

Over the past 10 years, she’s become a celebrated selector, guided by the search for songs that feel like a warm hug. It’s why she was called upon to open for Madlib for a Boiler Room session in Madrid, and invited by Four Tet to play on his curated bill for Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon, and is a standout name on European festivals like Field Day, Glastonbury, We Out Here and Primavera. Her guest mixes for Dekmantel, Gilles Peterson’s 6 Music show, Resident Advisor and beyond are thoughtful, inventive and laced with the occasional what-the-hell rarity.

Jazz was the seed for Mafalda’s DJ journey, specifically hearing Sadar Bahar play a jazz tune in the early hours at Corsica Studios in 2014. It also inspired her to relocate from Lisbon to London, where she found a home on the UK capital’s dancefloors. She soon got the record bug, and landed a job at London record shop Cosmos. Until it shut in 2015, you could also find her at storied basement club Plastic People, the pitch-black boom room where she met Floating Points. Mafalda was instrumental in the early days of his reissues label, Melodies International, going on to co-run the label and programme the events until 2019. She continues to put together the fanzines that accompany the releases, providing artwork as well as being a resident at their parties.

Since then, Mafalda’s monthly NTS Radio show 'Tropic Of Love' has built a dedicated following and turned into a label, “guided by mood rather than genre”, she says. It was named for a Shirley Nanette song, which sprung out of Mafalda’s cult DJ residency at a pub in east London and originally started on Red Bull Radio in 2018. She’s a passionate record collector, but not elitist, and her own imprint is her way of sharing the music she loves even further.

The Pool are excited to announce another local party for our Bristol friends and family. This time we detour into a deeply balearic beat, inviting two crucially formative players in the Balearic scene to Bristol.

At the heart of the Balaeric beat scene of the late 1980s was an Italian DJ - Leo Mas. Leo’s legendary tenure as resident ‘warm up’ DJ at Amnesia ran from 1985 to 1990. Playing midnight to 4am each night, Leo Mas pioneered the eclectic alchemy of the ibiza dancefloor with a heady mix of Soundtracks, Spanish guitar, Soul, Funk, cool Jazz, Electro, Dub Reggae, Afro Beat, Hip Hop, Dark Wave, Indie Rock, Synth Pop, House, Acid and so on and so on...

Joining him is Sally Rodgers: one half of the pioneering electronic dance act A Man Called Adam. With many an appearence across the Cafe Del Mar compilations, Sally brings an eclecticism of her own ‘power-move’ re-edits, Jazz-fusion, global roots, deep house, cosmic disco, new wave, electronica and experimental cuts.

On support we invite Bristolian walking dictionary of left-field curveballs, Spiceroute. Having soundtracked many a local dance, re-edited his own DJ tools. Spiceroute also holds down ’A Better Break‘ on Noods radio alongside Pool head honcho Matty J. Writing, interviewing and documenting cultural fringes of the scene in his spare time.

Resident Pool player Dj Hans has also spun across all corners of Bristol’s underground groove, while hustling records over the counter at Collectors Cave. He has made it a mission to bring Bristol to Ibiza and is now happy to share a little slice of Ibiza back in Bristol.

We are thrilled to welcome the indefinable dub innovator to the Pool roster.

Hailing from the mythical English town of Breadminster, Elijah Minnelli has been expanding the boundaries of dub through the prisms of folk, cumbia, reggae and cosmic reverberation.

With a new 4 track EP ‘Socket and Ball’ coming via tastemaker label on 6th March 2026 (see clip in slide 2). Minnelli continues to establish his unique dub-wise sound, fusing eastern & western folk influences with cumbia and earthy drones, culminating in his own distinct sonic world and ever evolving lore.

In the words of , Elijah’s music could be described as “earthy, rootsy mutations on the reggae gene, owing as much to folk and Cumbia as it does to dub.” With a plethora of sought after self-released 7 inch, plus ‘Perpetual Musket’ an acclaimed 2024 album on esteemed label FatCat Records, Minnelli’s sound stands out by balancing its influences with a unique irreverence.

Critically, Elijah’s 2025’s LP ‘Clams as a Main Meal’ (slide three) garnered his most glowing reviews yet, with positive nods from The Guardian and The Quietus voting ‘Canaan Land’ featuring Dennis Bovel, in their top 5 tracks of 2025.

In a live context, the dub elements of Minnelli’s sound come to the fore. Stood behind his mixing desk, he strips back and rebuilds his usual blend of rickety, ragtag percussion and warmed-through subs. Layered with his trademark live vocals and folk melodies the end result is a set of wheezing melancholia that strives beyond pure sound system functionality. This unique set-up has seen him grace stages as varied as London’s Cafe OTO, Copenhagen’s Dubfabrikken, Belgium’s Meakusma and Munich’s Circus Krone, and alongside artists such as Shackleton, The Notwist and Holy Tongue.

We are thrilled to welcome to The Pool Agency.

Cami is a Cuban DJ, selector, and radio host who finds her most intimate expressions on the dancefloor and through the airwaves hosting .records , her monthly radio show on .

Her journey is fuelled by a relentless search as a record digger and ethnomusicologist, unearthing organic rhythms from across the world. Performing exclusively on vinyl, her sonic adventure traverses textures and eras, weaving a wide tapestry that draws from Cuban disco, forward-thinking Latin electronics, Caribbean oddities, Tropical Amazonian rhythms, and global grooves.

Her 'INSOLAR' radio show has blossomed into a solid event concept, now encompassing 11 editions across 8 cities. This live iteration has seen Cami channel her energy and vision into notable stages and club takeovers, including a curated presentation at Le Guess Who (Utrecht, Netherlands) and a celebrated residency at The Pickle Factory (London, UK), where she hosted dub legend Mad Professor as a special guest.

Looking ahead, Cami is now expanding 'INSOLAR' into a record label and is currently working on its first release, a compilation of Cuban music from the 1970s to the late 1980s. Its concept is inspired by a record issued after Cuba sent its first citizen into outer space during the Cold War, as well as by the wave of Soviet synthesizers imported at the time. These instruments influenced a generation of music production, creating underrated crossovers between Afro-Cuban rhythms and spacey, funky grooves - ironically during a period in Cuba when Jazz and Funk were considered “enemy music” and were, in many ways, forbidden.

This debut release is a deeply personal project which embodies Cami’s narrative-driven approach to music and which shapes all of her work.
