And finally Penguins experienced Harvest at Christ Church Downend today. We’d like to say a very big thank you to our school Chaplain and the many volunteers who led this wonderful learning experience experience.

Help with lifts needed!
One of our parents has damaged her ankle badly and has no help to get her children to school for the next couple of weeks. She has a child in Y2 and EYFS. Is there anyone that may be able to help with transport to and from school? They live in Elizabeth Way, Mangotsfield.
Please email me if you can help at [email protected]
Thank you!

Some of our Penguins joined Mrs Martin at CCJ today to hear what exciting fundraising plans the Christ Church schools have in store for Children in Need this year!

Mrs Martin and Mr Huxley have planned a Colour Run around the CCJ field for families at both schools and we cannot wait to get fundraising!

We are keen to clear the gravel area outside the offices after having to store the mud on there after the pool excavation.

I will be tackling this straight after school on Friday so if anyone can lend a hand I would be very grateful.

Gloves may be wise and a spade if you have one. Maybe some rakes to put the gravel back in place too.

The children will be very welcome to help/play on the playground or in the hall - if anyone can supervise them that would be fab.

From 3.30pm.

Thank you!

This very thoughtful Penguin chose to bring in his story from home after we read ‘Meesha makes friends’. Not only that, but he told us how the story had inspired him to offer to play with someone when he knew they’d were missing their best friend and just played what they wanted to make them feel happy.
