No more intangible ideas of the refugee crisis and its masses. A documentary to show we are all united in this world, moving beyond gender or race.

We are a group of students from Bristol traveling to Calais on November 15th. We will meet people who some how have walked an unthinkable distance to get to where they are, and find out how they really feel, person to person. We will be volunteering teaching basic camera skills and aim to build relationships through creativity never-mind the nationality or religion. The youth of this country need to stand for better reasons than the economy.

Amongst the sadness today, we discovered yet more amazing talent in the Jungle. A Kurdish fine artist and musician, who has agreed to be in the documentary. A poignant and relevant phrase spoken in the jungle is that "with suffering, bursts talent". This is a positive and admirable outlook to have, considering the most unimaginable suffering many of these people have endured.

Silent protesters with their mouth's sewn shut walk through the south side today. For many refugees they are at breaking point. Many people were left homeless last night and the numbers are rising.

Police guard over the many homes being demolished. Each day people are given just a few hours, if that ,to leave their homes in the jungle. It's said that the plan is to 'condense' the camp to just 2,000 people. Where does that leave the rest?
