📚 Amazing to welcome into Collegiate today. Dr Ashley Hickson-Lovence spoke to Years 7 & 8 about ‘Wild East’, his verse novel which was nominated for the 2025 Carnegie Medal for Writing. He is also a poet, literary critic and… a football referee! Truly inspiring stuff.

👋 It’s always good to hear about former Collegiate pupils enjoying success. Here’s OC Joe Gibbs, pictured at the degree show at UWE.
For his final project, Joe created, manufactured and programmed an innovative device to detect head impacts in sport.
It’s great to see that the hard work through his GCSE and A Level years has paid off - we are really proud of him!
