Sun for this weekend!

Last week I walked the Saints Way in Cornwall with my 79 year old Dad. In 2.5 days we walked 46k with over 1100m of ascent. My dad is my inspiration, the person who has always believed I can do anything. I feel really lucky to spend such special times with him.

CPD day with Nature of Bannau Brycheiniog! Incredible as always and the sun was out! Lots of using magnifiers on the knees looking at lots of interesting things!

Improvers Navigation day in the mountains!, learning all about navigating off of paths, reading the land and choosing the right atategies.bSuch a fantastic team & lots of fun!

TOP TIPS FOR WALKING IN HOT WEATHER ☀️🥾

• Choose routes with plenty of shade
• Walk shorter routes than usual
• Start early and finish early
• Wear sunscreen and a hat
• Keep your shoulders and skin covered
• Slow your pace and allow extra time
• Carry extra fluids
• Freeze a bottle of water so you have cold water throughout the day
• Know the signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion — and act quickly if needed

⚠️ If it’s too hot, don’t go!
The hills and mountains will still be there another day.
