HUGE shoutout to Mr. Sarbickiโs Year 9 enrichment group for absolutely transformating the G Block ๐ซ I'm not go to lieโฆ I had basically ZERO supervision over what was happening in the geography rooms but the results are incredible ๐ The artwork is next level and the rooms now look absolutely stunning ๐ผ๏ธ Iโm genuinely chuffed to bits with the pride, creativity and effort thatโs gone into making this part of the school look amazing ๐ Thank you everyone, you should all be seriously proud of yourselves ๐

Good morning Year 11 โ Paper 1 is finally here ๐ I know the nerves might be kicking in but take a second to look back at how far youโve come since the start of Year 10 ๐ The hours of revision, the practice papers, and the case study rรฉvision, itโs all in there ๐ญ Today is simply your chance to get it all down on paper ๐ As you head into the hall for your first exam this morning, keep these three things in mind:
1. Read the Command Word ๐
2. Remember the PEACE structure โฎ๏ธ
3. Only do Coasts and Rivers NOT Glaciers in Section C ๐
Whether itโs Tectonic Hazards, Physical Landscapes, or the Living World, you are ready for this ๐ช Youโve put in the hard work and now itโs time to show the examiners what you can do ๐ฅณ Iโll be thinking of you all from home as I look after my youngest who was ill overnight ๐ค

Final day in the Bay of Naples ๐ฎ๐น Today began with checking out of the hotel before heading into the beautiful historic town of Sorrento, where students explored the old streets, admired the endless lemons on display and enjoyed some well-earned gelato๐ฆWe then travelled to Pompeii for a whistle-stop tour of one of the worldโs most famous archaeological sites, squeezing in some of the key sights before making our way to the airport โ๏ธ After battling traffic, airport queues and a healthy amount of Italian travel chaos along the way, we made the flight home safe and sound ๐
Now on the long journey back to Bristol after coach delays, with lots of tired students but plenty of brilliant memories from an unforgettable few days in Italy ๐

Day 3 in the Bay of Naples ๐ฎ๐น Today we took a boat trip from Sorrento along the stunning Amalfi Coast to Positano, with some incredible views of the cliffside villages that make this UNESCO World Heritage coastline so famous ๐ The sea was definitely a little choppy, but it gave us the perfect opportunity to spot coastal landforms along the way including caves, arches, stacks and stumps in real life ๐After arriving in Positano, students had time to relax on the beach, explore the village, buy souvenirs and take in the beautiful Italian architecture built into the cliffs ๐ A long but brilliant day on the sea and along one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world ๐

Day 2 in Naples ๐ฎ๐น Today we hiked to the summit of Mount Vesuvius, walking around the crater at 1,200m with incredible views across the Bay of Naples ๐ This afternoon we explored Herculaneum and saw firsthand the devastating impact of the 79 AD eruption and its pyroclastic flows ๐๏ธ A brilliant day of geography in action, lots of walking, unforgettable views and only a few encounters with some very enthusiastic Italian security guards ๐

After leaving this morning at 9:55am, we made our way to before boarding our flight to Naples โ๏ธ Once we landed, it was straight onto another coach to Meta di Sorrento, the town weโll be calling home for the next few days ๐
Itโs been a very long day of travelling:
๐ Coaches โ๏ธ Flights ๐งณ Transfers โณ Waiting around ๐ด Very tired students (and teachers) ๐ค But we made it ๐Everyone has settled in brilliantly, enjoyed their first Italian dinner, checked into their hotel rooms and started getting a feel for the place ๐ Now itโs time for some sleep before a very busy first full day tomorrow ๐
