Lingo Hoop is all about teaching languages kinaesthetically. Kinaesthetic learning helps kid’s brains and bodies to connect using a multi-sensory approach.

It improves coordination and develops reactions. It focuses on active participation. Over the course of the year, we will look at three different languages focusing on French, German and Spanish speaking countries. We will learn about famous people, festiva

Spaces are filling up for our special Lingo Hoop day on August 19th. Please get in touch if your child wants to know more about the world around them. This will be a day of discovery, language and creativity. We will be focussing on the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and South America. We will be dancing, singing and playing lots of games to have fun but we will also learn how important it is to find out about serious topics like plastic pollution and bring in our own creativity to build on our own global awareness. If you would like a day of learning but in a fun way, then this could be the day for your child.

I am hopefully running 2 days of fun activities in August. This is open to all Primary school children in Bristol. The dates are August 12th and August 19th. There are 20 spaces available per day. If your child is interested choose a day and I will send you a form. The cost is £28. We will be looking at 5 different continents, Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and Africa. There will be a real variety of activities, lots of fun but also lots of learning too. There will be a different focus for each continent.

Europe with a focus on famous Landmarks
Asia with a focus on food
South America with a focus on birds
Australia with a focus on Ayers rock and Aboriginal art
Africa with a focus on plastic pollution

If you have been to one of my After school clubs then you know what to expect but if you haven't this is a club that brings the outside world into your children's minds and hearts. Please share as I would really like these two days to happen.

What a fun term we have had learning about Canada. Yesterday at St Anne's Infant school we celebrated Canada day and ate pancakes with maple syrup. We played bingo, did a quiz and some drawings of maple leafs. I hope some of you maybe returning next term for another new country. And I am running a couple of Lingo Hoop days in the holidays at Whitehall Primary. If you are interested to book a place, please get in touch. More updates at the end of this week. Thank you wonderful amazing little linguists for your curiosity to learn about the world around you. 🌍❤️

Did you know Winnie the Pooh was based on a real live bear cub from Winnipeg in Canada? There is even a statue of him at London Zoo where he ended up residing when the first World War broke out. This week we have been learning the characters from the Winnie the Pooh stories in French and discussing what character we most resemble. We had quite a lot of Tiggers😁 And last week we learnt how to do an acrostic poem. ❤️

Yesterday at St Anne's Infant school we celebrated an Easter tradition that will be happening on April 6th in Zurich. Yes we were throwing coins at boiled eggs! I must say this was a first for me too and lots of fun. We also decorated an egg, learnt an Easter rhyme about rabbits Zwei kleine Kaninchen (the equivalent to Two little Dicky birds in English) and coloured in some Easter pictures. Frohe Ostern everyone.
