Bonjour, Je Suis Rose
My name is Rose. In 2014, after 4 years studying Literature in France and seeking a little adventure, I decided to go to England to improve my English. I have now been living here for 8 years! In 2017, I did a PGCE course at the University of Hertfordshire to become a fully qualified teacher of French in secondary schools. Having worked with children for nearly five years, I have developed as a teacher who has an acute knowledge of my students’ learning processes, and I deliver lessons that allow them to learn peacefully in an environment of challenge and support. I have an extensive knowledge of the GCSE and A Level specifications and as a result have seen 4 classes achieve success in these examinations. Several of my students have taken languages further at university. In 2021, I felt the need to expand my teaching to adults who wish to learn French for no other purpose than the love for the language itself, and started working as a private tutor which allows me to be as creative as I want to be. The combination of my experience learning a different language myself, teaching in secondary schools and now also teaching adults inspire me to plan fun and dynamic lessons during which my students are encouraged to speak throughout the lesson to grow in confidence through sharing their personal stories with each other.

Take a look at my services and get in touch if you would like to start learning French.
