Understanding Behaviour in Early Years
In the early years, every behaviour tells a story. Behind every action, there’s a feeling. And behind that feeling, there’s a need.
Instead of focusing solely on behaviour, let’s take a step back and ask:
What is this child feeling?
What need are they trying to express?
When we respond with empathy and meet their needs, we nurture emotional well-being, strengthen connections, and support positive development.
