Today we celebrated by looking to nature and the signs of spring—especially birds busy building their nests. 🐦

The children made their own bird nests and created little birds to go inside them 🪺✨

🌻💛 World Down Syndrome Day 2026 💛🌻

Celebrating someone very special to us – Attie 💛

To mark World Down Syndrome Day this year, we joined the Sunflower Challenge by planting sunflowers and taking part in a fun sunflower-themed number activity 🌻🔢

The sunflower is a beautiful symbol that reminds us that everyone grows and blooms in their own unique way. This year’s theme, “Together Against Loneliness”, encourages us all to celebrate inclusion, friendship, and the importance of belonging.

Attie brings so much joy to those around her, and this is all about celebrating her and everything that makes her wonderfully unique 💛

Let’s continue to grow together, support one another and make sure no one feels alone 🌻

The children had so much fun using vegetables as stamps to design beautiful linen tea towels for their mummies. From apples and pears to broccoli and sprouts, each print created a colourful pattern and every towel turned into a unique keepsake made with love ❤️

🥞🏮 Pancake Day meets Chinese New Year at Little Seedlings! 🏮🥞

What a joyful celebration! Our little ones explored lots of flavours and got creative decorating swinging Chinese lanterns and fans 🌟
A wonderful blend of food, culture, and creativity!

💦🌿 The first steps of our new outdoor kitchen space at Little Seedlings allotment is already a favourite! With a canopy to keep us dry and the view and sound of a peaceful stream behind …. it’s the perfect space for water play.

The children created nature ice decorations using natural materials and colour. We hung them on our winter tree and explored how the ice changed as it melted.

A calm winter activity that supports creativity, curiosity and understanding the world, while gently continuing the Christmas theme ❄️

🌱 Little Seedlings | Summer & Autumn Memories 🌻🍂

Just a little snippet of our memories from the end of summer and into autumn before we share our winter and Christmas adventures!

From sunny outdoor play to crisp autumn walks, the children have been learning, exploring, and growing together every step of the way. We’ve enjoyed sensory play, nature hunts, messy fun, lots of baking and cooking and so many giggles—it’s been a joy watching their confidence and curiosity bloom.

We’ve also celebrated some of our Little Seedlings graduating and heading off to school 🌟 and we’ve welcomed new tiny Seedlings. It’s been a beautiful season of change, growth and new beginnings.

Being outdoors, learning through play, and having fun together is what Little Seedlings is all about. 🍁✨

🌱 Little Seedlings Summer Get-Together! 🌱

What a lovely afternoon we had yesterday at Little Seedlings! It was such a joy to bring together all our wonderful little seedlings and their amazing parents and grandparents. The garden was full of laughter, chatter, and happy little faces — just how we like it! We were so busy enjoying ourselves we forgot to take any photos.

So here’s a pic of a the most delicious loaf that one of the dads baked for us yesterday 🥖💛

These moments of connection and community are what make Little Seedlings so special. Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a warm and memorable day 🌼
