Working on our first aid skills

❤️ Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED) – developing confidence, empathy, caring for others and understanding how to respond when someone is hurt.
🗣️ Communication & Language – listening to instructions, learning new vocabulary such as bandage, casualty, emergency and explaining what they would do.
🏃 Physical Development – practising fine-motor skills when applying bandages or plasters and developing coordination.

A drumming session is particularly useful because it can cover several areas of learning at the same time. It’s also a brilliant way of getting children moving, listening and having fun while they learn. 🥁😊

A visit to Wentworth Farm to extend our learning about animals. We all had a fantastic time and covered these characteristics of effective learning :
Playing and exploring – engaging with animals and asking questions.
Active learning – concentrating and following instructions while feeding.
Creating and thinking critically – making connections between animals, their food, and their habitats.

Wow that was a very hot week !!!!!!.Lots of water play = lots of fun.Indoor crafts when the day got too hot and even some work to show their new teachers at school . Some start their transitions to school next week and i'm extremely proud of them all .
