Sometimes, it’s the unexpected gestures that mean the most.

I wanted to share this amazing canvas that was created for me by Sam.

Many of you know that before anything else, I’ve been passionate about driving and teaching for over 25 years. Helping people gain confidence behind the wheel has been one of the greatest privileges of my career.

Away from driving instruction, there’s another passion that many of my pupils quickly discover… I’m a huge Back to the Future fan! Ever since I was a teenager, it’s been my favourite film.

Sam somehow managed to combine both worlds into one incredible piece of artwork.

The DeLorean, the famous Clock Tower, the Flux Capacitor, the iconic 88 MPH, and even the L-plates all tell a story about my journey as a driving instructor and my lifelong love of one of cinema’s greatest films.

It’s incredibly thoughtful when someone takes the time to create something so personal.

Thank you, Sam. Your creativity and kindness are truly appreciated, and this canvas will have pride of place for many years to come.

It just goes to show that the best journeys aren’t always about the destination—they’re about the people you meet along the way.

Now… if only my learner car could travel through time! 🚗⚡

“I am incredibly proud of every pupil who achieves their driving licence, but even more proud when they leave with the confidence and skills to drive independently for years to come. Olti passed his test in April, and I was truly grateful to receive the following review.”

Gregor was a brilliant driving instructor throughout all my lessons. He was friendly, patient, and explained everything simply and clearly, which instantly helped build my confidence. From the very first lesson, he created a supportive environment and handled my mistakes calmly, ensuring I never lost confidence and always understood how to improve.

Most significantly, he didn’t just teach me how to pass my test, but also how to become a safe, lifelong driver, deal with real-life unexpected situations, and what to look for when buying a car, as well as how to maintain it.

With well-structured lessons and great support throughout, I would confidently recommend Gregor to anyone learning to drive.

🚗 First Time Pass – And on a Sunday! 👏

Massive congratulations to Olti Zeka on passing his driving test first time — and on a very rare Sunday test too!

A fantastic achievement, and thoroughly deserved. Olti approached his driving with real maturity, focus, and commitment from the very beginning — exactly what it takes to become not just a driver, but a safe and confident one for life.

I’m incredibly proud of the standard he reached 👊

As I was on my way home from holiday, a huge thank you goes to my good friend Laurence for stepping in and accompanying Olti on the day — greatly appreciated and a big part of the team effort 🙌

Enjoy your freedom on the roads, Olti — you’ve earned it 🚗💨

🚗 Top 5 Motorway Mistakes (And How to Avoid Them)

Motorways are statistically some of the safest roads in the UK — but only when used correctly.

Here are 5 of the most common mistakes I see every day 👇

1️⃣ Middle Lane Hogging

Not returning to the left lane after overtaking.

👉 Always move back to the left when it’s safe
👉 Keeps traffic flowing and reduces frustration

2️⃣ Poor Lane Discipline

Sitting in the wrong lane or switching lanes without proper planning.

👉 Plan ahead
👉 Use mirrors and signals properly
👉 Don’t drift between lanes

3️⃣ Tailgating

Driving too close to the vehicle in front.

👉 Keep a safe following distance (at least a 2-second gap in dry conditions)
👉 More space = more time to react

4️⃣ Incorrect Use of Slip Roads

Joining too slowly or hesitating when merging.

👉 Build speed on the slip road
👉 Match the flow of traffic before merging

5️⃣ Lack of Awareness

Not checking mirrors, blind spots, or reading the road ahead.

👉 Stay alert
👉 Anticipate what others are doing
👉 Good observation = safer driving

💡 Final Thought:

Motorway driving isn’t difficult — but it does require discipline, awareness, and respect for other road users.

Small improvements make a big difference.

🚗 Middle Lane Hogging – More Than Just Frustrating

If you’ve driven on a UK motorway, you’ve likely seen it…

A driver sitting in the middle or outside lane while the left lane is completely clear.

This isn’t just frustrating — it’s actually considered careless driving.

Under UK law:
➡️ Drivers must keep to the left lane unless overtaking
➡️ Remaining in the middle lane unnecessarily can result in a
💷 £100 fine and 3 penalty points
➡️ Covered under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988

The Highway Code Rule 264 is clear:
👉 Stay in the left lane unless overtaking, then return when it’s safe to do so

⚠️ Why it matters:

Middle-lane driving can:

* Disrupt the natural flow of traffic
* Lead to tailgating and frustration
* Encourage unsafe manoeuvres such as undertaking
* Increase the risk of collisions

💡 The reality:

This often comes down to habit, uncertainty, or misunderstanding — but as drivers, we all share responsibility for keeping our roads safe and efficient.

Good motorway driving isn’t just about speed — it’s about lane discipline, awareness, and consideration.

✅ Simple rule to remember:

If you’re not overtaking — move back to the left.
