✨El 23 d’abril se celebra una tradición catalana muy especial: la Diada de Sant Jordi 🌹📚 (San Jorge / Saint George’s Day),

Sant Jordi is one of the most beautiful celebrations in Catalonia 🇪🇸
The streets fill with books and roses, and people gift each other a rose 🌹 and a book 📖 It’s a day to celebrate love, literature and culture ✨ 🫶🏻

💫 According to the legend…
Un dragón 🐉 aterrorizaba un pueblo y el caballero Sant Jordi lo venció ⚔️From the dragon’s blood, a beautiful rose grew 🌹

❤️ As well as being el Día Internacional del Libro (reconocido por la UNESCO) 📖,
en Cataluña, Sant Jordi is considered the real day of love — ¡más importante que San Valentín! 💌
Both make this celebration even more special!

Did you know…?

🍫 In Catalonia, children receive chocolate “monas” from their godparents 🎁

🥐 In Valencia, families eat a sweet bread with a boiled egg… 🐣☀️

⛪ During Holy Week, cities like Seville and Málaga have big processions with music and traditional costumes

🍯 And a traditional sweet enjoyed during Semana Santa is Torrijas, a sweet, fried bread with sugar or honey 😍
